Carer of the Month: Brianna 🩵

Brianna represents the standard we strive for at Saircare Support. She leads with confidence, supports with care, and plays a key role in guiding participants through their work experience at Currimundi Special School.

Her leadership, teamwork and ability to create a positive environment is valued by both participants and staff. We're so grateful to have her as part of our Saircare team, helping us to raise the standard of care on the Sunshine Coast. 🫶

Shoutout to our Participant of the Month: Kevin 🩵

Kevin fully immerses himself in every activity and approaches each situation with a positive mindset. He also shows genuine care for others, often helping younger participants feel included.

On camp, Kevin truly thrived - helping with cooking, cleaning, setting up tents and supporting others along the way.

Moments like this are why we do what we do.

No Barriers. Just Footy

We are very excited to announce that The Lavender Sky Foundation and Connect Rugby League have partnered with Rugby League Sunshine Coast to bring our regions first Inclusion Round in 2026.

Thank you to the SCGRL Board and clubs for being open to this vision when it was first presented last year — your support has been instrumental.
A huge thank you to all our partnered clubs for their support:

Kawana Rugby League
Noosa Pirates Rugby League Club
Caboolture Snakes Senior Rugby League Club
Caloundra Senior Rugby League Club.

Our games will be played Saturday May 30th as follows:

Noosa Pirates CRL (home) v Caloundra Sharks CRL
Kawana Dolphins CRL (home) v Caboolture Snakes CRL

Times are 5.30pm TBC

These are as per the official SCGRL draw.

All clubs across Sunshine Coast & Gympie rugby league will be invited to celebrate alongside us over the round

This event is so much more than a day of footy.
It is an opportunity to celebrate inclusion, ability, and belonging and to continue shifting how sport is delivered for people with disabilities and diagnoses — especially here on the Sunshine Coast.

Again a huge Thank you to the SCGRL and every person, organisation, club, player, family, carer, volunteer, our sponsors, coaches and our committees for supporting this to come about.

How good are holidays with your mates? 🙌🎉

The April Holiday Program was PACKED and this crew did not miss a beat.

UBX Mooloolaba, Noosa Ferry, Sunshine Butterflies Farm Tour, Dance & Drama with Femke, Pottery with our very own Will, Connect Rugby League, Cooking Class with Chef Brendo, Swimming with Matty Fresh, Messy Glow Co, CAMP Trip, Bowling - and topping it all off with a Karaoke Party hosted by the legends at The Ability Collective 🎤🪩🎉🩵

Big thanks to all the Participants, staff and providers who made it such a good couple of weeks 👏

We’re pedal to the metal planning the next one! Keep an eye out for what our Sunshine Squad (the littlest legends) got up to ☀️🩵
