we’ve been taught that health & wellness has a certain look
the 5am wake up
the 10km run
the daily meditation
the self-development books
the meal prep containers lined up perfectly in the fridge
and don’t get me wrong, these things can be amazing. but somewhere along the way, we started believing that if we weren’t doing them exactly like that, we weren’t doing enough????
we started comparing our real lives to someone else’s highlight reel and wondering why we couldn’t keep up 🥲
maybe your version of health looks like:
a 3km walk/run/walk instead of a 10km run
5 minutes of quiet time instead of a 30-minute meditation
reading a sci-fi book because you love reading, instead of forcing yourself through another self-development book
a 20-minute workout because that’s what fits into your day, instead of skipping it because you couldn’t do the “perfect” session
choosing meals that support your goals most of the time, without needing every meal to be perfectly planned
the goal isn’t to copy someone else’s routine. the goal is to build habits that support YOUR life
the healthiest and happiest version of you probably isn’t the one who follows every wellness trend perfectly
it’s the one who finds what works, enjoys the process, and can actually sustain it 🤌🏼
