Yesterday, Brendan took our amazing Service Coordinators out for a day on the water.
A day filled with sunshine, laughter, great conversations, and a chance to spend time together away from the daily routine.
The team had an absolute blast. ☀️🚤💛
One thing Brendan has always believed is that people should feel that they're appreciated. Not just through words. Not just through a thank you but through genuine investment in the people who show up every day and give so much of themselves to participants, families, colleagues, and the communities we support.
Because anyone can say they value their team.
Yesterday was Brendan's way of saying, "Thank you."
A chance to step away from the office. A chance to step away from the daily routine. A chance to put the phones down for a few hours and simply reconnect as a team because when you're busy, it's easy to get caught up in the work and forget to make time for each other.
Our Service Coordinators spend their days supporting participants, solving problems, navigating challenges, taking phone calls, responding to emails, connecting with their gorgeous communities and making sure the people we support receive the best possible outcomes.
Brendan wanted to create space for the team to laugh together, share stories, enjoy each other's company, and be reminded of just how valued they are and that is just one of the things that makes this workplace amazing!
It is not about team-building exercises, not about the pretty posters on the wall, not about just saying the words.... it is about making people feel appreciated while creating an amazing opportunity to reconnect. It's about investing in the people who invest so much into others every single day.
Yesterday was also a reminder that behind every Service Coordinator is a human being who deserves to feel supported, valued, and celebrated too and judging by the smiles, laughter, and stories shared throughout the day, mission accomplished. ☀️🚤🌊
