Someone else’s map. Someone else’s timeline. Someone else’s definition of what a good life looks like for a woman your age.
Most of us don’t even realise we’ve been following it. We just know something feels off. Like we’ve been doing everything right and still arriving somewhere that doesn’t quite feel like home.
Your Human Design is your actual map. Not a personality quiz, not another framework to follow, a soul blueprint that shows you how you’re designed to move, decide, and come alive. And when you see it through the lens of where you are right now in midlife, something shifts that doesn’t unshift.
Follow along if you want to find yours. My free Midlife Awakening Guide is in my bio. 🌿

We stumbled across this sign on a sandy path on our island getaway, completely unbothered, like it had been waiting for us.
I’ve been listening to Alan Watts lately and he talks about attention as energy, as prayer almost, the great invisible currency of what we’re actually broadcasting into our lives. Because we can be asking for peace while every cell in our body is embodying stress. We can be saying we want a new season while quietly gripping the one we know.
Midlife does something interesting to that grip. It loosens it whether you’re ready or not.
And sometimes the universe sends you a sprained ankle, or a sign on a sandy path that makes you laugh out loud because honestly, of course it does.
What if the best things in this season aren’t the ones you planned for? What if they’re the ones that find you when you finally, genuinely stop looking?
Follow along if that landed somewhere. There’s so much more where this came from. 🌿

I didn’t plan for any of this.
I planned a very different holiday. And then I sprained my ankle and the whole plan dissolved, and I had to make a decision about what kind of woman I was going to be about that.
I could grip harder. Try to salvage the itinerary. Make the best of it in that effortful way we’ve all been trained to do, push through, make it work, don’t waste the opportunity.
Or I could just... let it be what it was.
So I got on a $3 bike instead. I snorkelled with turtles. I watched a horse walk along a beach at sunset. I filmed an empty swing moving in the breeze like it had somewhere to be. I found a sign that said “no plan is the plan” and laughed out loud because the universe had clearly been paying attention.
And what arrived in the surrender wasn’t consolation. It was genuine satisfaction, the deep quiet kind that decades of achieving and planning and doing it all for everyone else had never quite delivered.
In Human Design this is what responding actually feels like when you stop overriding it. Not the forced yes. Not the dutiful yes. The yes that arrives when you release the grip on what you thought success was supposed to look like and let what’s actually in front of you be enough.
After decades of measuring myself against a plan, that felt like the most radical thing I’d ever done.
Sometimes the holiday you didn’t have is the one that changes everything.
If this landed somewhere, follow along. There’s so much more where this came from. 🌿

My gorgeous friend and I laugh like breathing together.
Two women, both 57, chatting as usual when I asked her, completely tongue-in-cheek, “So what are you going to do when you grow up?”
We were talking about a new season, about allowing ourselves to feel into the child in us who used to play, who was present, who wasn’t yet burdened by the roles that society and our own stories placed on us. The one who existed before we became the muse for everyone else, before the over-giving, before we learned to put ourselves last and call it love.
That child is still in there and she never left.
Midlife, this wilderness season we somehow weren’t prepared for, is actually the most extraordinary invitation to bring your attention back within. It’s a chance to set down the roles and expectations just for a moment and ask with genuine childlike curiosity: how do I want to play in this season of my life?
If that question lands somewhere real in you, follow along. There’s so much more where this came from. 🌿

I don’t usually do formal introductions. But if you’re new here, or if you’ve been here a while and feel like you only know fragments of me, this one is for you.
I’m Clare. In my late 40s I went through my Chiron return, which is the astrological moment around 48 to 50 where everything you’ve been carrying that isn’t truly yours starts to surface. For me that meant finally listening to what my nervous system had been quietly screaming for years, and having the wild and brave audacity to actually follow that listening.
What came next wasn’t clean or linear. It was the slow, tender, sometimes terrifying work of finding my own soul map. My own inner authority. Learning to feel safe enough in who I am to stop performing the version of me that kept everyone else comfortable.
Now at 57, in the midst of my Saturn return, I can feel the difference. Not perfect, not finished, but regulated, alive, and genuinely enough. To myself first, and then to everyone around me.
This is the journey I guide women through, using Human Design, cosmic timings, and the wisdom of your own soul blueprint, because I didn’t study this from the outside. I walked every single step of it myself.
If you’re a woman over 45 and something in this felt familiar, follow along. There’s so much more where this came from, and my free Midlife Awakening Guide is in my bio whenever you’re ready. 🌿

The women I work with are not women who haven’t tried. They’ve tried everything. The books, the therapy, the courses, the quiet 3am google searches hoping something will finally make sense of what they’re feeling.
They’re not lost. They’re at a threshold, the place where the life they built for everyone else ends and the life they were actually designed for begins.
That threshold has a name. And there’s a way through it that doesn’t require burning everything down or starting over from scratch.
If you’re standing there right now, you’re in exactly the right place. Follow along - there’s so much more where this came from. My free Midlife Awakening Guide is in my bio whenever you’re ready. 🌿

Honestly, I did not arrive in Indonesia feeling free. I arrived with a sprained ankle, a heart still carrying some grief, and a very optimistic itinerary that my body had absolutely no intention of honouring.
So instead of chasing waterfalls, I found myself on the back of a moped, holding onto my guy for dear life, laughing through the bumps, and somewhere on that bridge with the wind in my face, I exhaled for the first time in months.
What most people don’t talk about when it comes to midlife is this: sometimes the adventure you planned isn’t the one you needed, and sometimes the one that finds you on a wonky road in Indonesia is exactly right.
Freedom was never the destination because it was always the feeling underneath it.
If that landed somewhere real for you, follow along, there’s so much more where this came from. My free Midlife Awakening Guide is in my bio if you want to go a little deeper. 🌿

She was never lost. Just scattered.
Into pieces I’d forgotten across the years of being everything to everyone. Under the weight of shouldering it all. Under the endless cycle of giving until there was nothing left.
Coming to Cape Town in my 49th and again in my 50th year wasn’t just a trip. It was a pilgrimage. Following the holy breadcrumbs of remembering who I was, gathering all my lost pieces, until I found myself in a place that felt like soul home.
Your essence doesn’t disappear during the years of motherhood and marriage amnesia. It doesn’t vanish when you’re busy keeping everyone else’s world spinning.
It scatters. Into fragments. Into memories. Into dreams deferred.
But the breadcrumbs are always there, waiting to lead you back. Back to the places that call to your soul. Back to the woman who was always there, just waiting to be gathered home.
The second half of your life is a pilgrimage of remembering. Of collecting all the pieces of yourself you thought were gone.
She’s still there. In every breadcrumb. In every soul home you find.

Everyone prepares you for the menopausal witchy-poo phase and the mood swings that could flatten a small village. Nobody...

Everyone prepares you for the menopausal witchy-poo phase and the mood swings that could flatten a small village.
Nobody prepares you for this:
The woman you abandoned at 25 to become who everyone needed you to be?
She’s back. And she’s furious.
She remembers the dreams you buried.
The boundaries you never set.
The times you said “I’m fine” when you were drowning. The years you gave everyone else permission to your life except yourself.
Midlife isn’t a crisis. It’s a cosmic intervention.
Your soul staging a revolt against a life that doesn’t fit. Your authentic self breaking through the layers of who you thought you had to be.
The exhaustion isn’t hormones. It’s the weight of carrying everyone else’s expectations while abandoning your own.
The good news? She’s not angry at you. She’s angry FOR you.
And she’s here to take you home to yourself.

The real plot twist?
All your scattered pieces were just waiting for you to be Brave enough to gather them home.

Sovereignty isn’t a destination. It’s a remembering.
Aries season with Mercury, Mars Saturn, Neptune and Chiron all gathered in the sign of I AM - stripping away everything that was never truly yours.

The conditioning. The roles. The obedience that was rewarded and the authenticity that was punished.

Human Design gives you the map back to your original self. Not who you were told to be. Who you actually are in your body, your energy, your timing, your truth.

That’s what the deconditioning work is really about. Not becoming someone new. Coming home to who you always were.

The free mini guide is in my bio - your starting point for the map home. 🌑🔥
