🌊🥤 Oscar is out exploring! 🥤🌊

Oscar continues to enjoy getting out and about with his support workers, discovering new places and making the most of his community adventures.

This week, Oscar ventured a little further to Caloundra, where he enjoyed a refreshing Boost Juice and some relaxing time sitting by the sea. 🌴☀️

If anyone knows Gab, you’ll know that community access has traditionally looked like trips to the shops and attending appointments.

Over time, Gab has been supported to explore new experiences at her own pace and in ways that feel comfortable for her. We’ve enjoyed river walks, spending time outdoors and gradually trying different activities. 🌿

And this week is a very exciting milestone… Gab went to the movies! 🎬🍿

After talking about it for years, Gab was ready to give it a go — and she did! 🥰

It’s so wonderful to see Gab building confidence, exploring new opportunities and enjoying experiences that are meaningful to her. Every step outside of our comfort zone is worth celebrating, especially when it happens at our own pace. 💜✨

Well done, Gab! Here’s to more new experiences and making memories along the way. 🌟

🌮🎉 Taco Tuesday Fun! 🎉🌮

A wonderful Taco Tuesday filled with delicious food, colourful decorations, music, and plenty of smiles! 🌈💃

It was lovely to see a participant enjoying the celebration and sharing a fun afternoon with their support worker. From tasty nachos to festive treats, it was a great opportunity to enjoy good food, enjoy music and have fun. ❤️🌮

🌟 A Successful Week for Oscar! 🌟

Oscar has had a fantastic week with his team, showing great independence and confidence throughout his outings. He independently chose items at the bakery, enjoyed chatting with local people, and took in the beautiful views from the lookout. 🌿😊

Oscar has also been involved in planning his outings for next week, showing excitement for what’s ahead! 🗓️✨

A special highlight was Oscar enjoying trying on his support worker’s glasses — a lovely moment that shows just how much confidence and progress he is making. 👓💙

Ferrari Day at Lakeside Park!

Peter was right in his element checking out some incredible cars at Ferrari Day at Lakeside Park and judging by this photo, he may have found a favourite!

A great day out enjoying the atmosphere, the cars and a little bit of Ferrari magic.

Safe to say this one definitely deserved a photo!

Today our wonderful Support Worker team in Gatton completed their MAYBO training with Hayden! 🙌

They also took the opportunity to spoil their Care Coordinator, Lauren, with a birthday cake and a her favourite chocolates 🎂🎁

It’s always such a pleasure spending time with our teams—watching them support one another, learn, develop and grow together. We’re so proud of the dedication, teamwork and positive energy they bring every day! 💙

Female-Only SIL Vacancy | Beaudesert

We currently have an opportunity for a female participant to join an established Supported Independent Living home in Beaudesert.

This is a Department of Housing home, offering a stable and long-term housing option for the right person. The women already living in the home have created a comfortable, welcoming household and enjoy having a laugh, spending time together and getting out into the community.

We’re looking for someone who may be a great fit for the household and is looking for more than just a short-term vacancy somewhere they can settle in, feel secure and make home for the long term.

About the home

* Department of Housing property
* Long-term, stable housing option
* Large private bedroom with walk-in robe
* Spacious air-conditioned living and dining areas
* Shared kitchen and common spaces
* Large, fully fenced backyard
* Plenty of space for gardening and outdoor activities
* Established home in the Beaudesert community

Who may be a good fit?

This is a female-only household, so the vacancy is available to a female participant who:

* Has SIL funding
* Is approved or eligible for Social Housing
* Is looking for a stable, long-term home
* Is compatible with the current household and the women already living there

Finding the right SIL home is about much more than a room. It’s about compatibility, stability, feeling comfortable where you live and having the opportunity to build a genuine long-term home.

A very happy Dolphins supporter!

Sue absolutely loves getting out and about with her support workers and when there’s a chance to catch up with some of her favourite Dolphins players, even better!

The players are always so generous with their time, stopping for a chat and a photo with Sue. Moments make her day!

We love supporting Sue to get involved in the community, follow her passions and enjoy experiences that mean so much to her.

Dariyn out and about in the Glass House Mountains with his support workers, enjoying some time in the community and taking in the beautiful surrounds.

It was great to see Dariyn enjoying the day alongside Anna, with plenty of smiles along the way.

Community access is about more than simply getting out of the house, it’s about enjoying new experiences, staying connected and having opportunities to participate in the community in a way that is meaningful to each person.
