Nichole Stanford Massage

Nichole Stanford Massage I’m a Remedial Massage Therapist practicing since 2016. From 🇺🇸 now practicing on the Sunny Coast! Nichole is from Bremerton, Washington in the US.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from the University of California Los Angeles in 2005. After working different careers in customer service, H.R and Payroll in L.A, Nichole returned to her home state to pursue a career in massage studying at Alexandar School of Natural Therapeutics in Tacoma, Washington and became licensed to practice in 2016. Nichole is certified in several

different modalities of massage and bodywork, including Myofascial Cupping, Prenatal Massage, Acupressure, Reiki (Level 2) and Sports Massage. The technique that inspires her most is the Trigger point and Myofascial work through ZenTherapy®. The strong base of structural integration blended with Trigger point therapy is very effective in relieving pain, realigning the body, as well as having lasting results over time. The modalities that Nichole offers and the differences between them are:
Swedish Massage is a gentle form of massage that aims to promote relaxation and relieve muscles tension. The techniques involve long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, and passive joint movements. It’s more suitable for people looking for a relaxing experience and can help with muscle tightness from daily activities. Remedial Massage is more targeted and is used to treat specific issues or injuries. It also employs a variety of techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and stretching protocols. Remedial massage is often used by athletes or individuals with chronic pain conditions to address deeper muscle layers and improve mobility. Due to the nature of Remedial massage being treatment oriented, it is eligible for Health Fund rebates. Trigger point and Myofascial Release is also a type of treatment and is not classified as massage, but as bodywork. The reason for this is that the session is not at all like a massage. The patient stays clothed (typically in shorts and a tank top), very little to no oil or massage balm is used, and the technique is completely different from massage. She employs the use of myofascial spreading, active movement, and trigger point techniques. The goal is to break fascial patterns in the body that impede movement and cause pain, and it is very deep and intense work. In addition to running a mobile practice in the States, Nichole was part of a Sports Massage team and provided massage for musicians at their concert venue. She recently received a Diploma in Remedial Massage and looks forward continuing her dedication to massage and bodywork in the Sunshine Coast.
