I had a gentle reminder this past weekend on just how important planning and prepping is ๐Ÿ˜Ž

At about 4:30pm Sunday arvo I decided to write out my grocery list and off to the shops I went ๐Ÿ›’

Grocery shopping tick โœ…

But by the time I got home and unpacked my bags - it was dinner time and I had NOTHING prepared. And I honestly cbf cooking anything ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‘

So I spent $80 on groceries, then proceeded to order UberEats for dinner ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

Yes I had my ingredients prepared for the rest of the week, but I fell short by about 2 meals.

I find my weeks to be much more successful if I spread my tasks out, rather than leaving them all to the last minute. This was something I neglected over the weekend, hence the UberEats ๐Ÿ˜ข (mind you it was delicious ๐Ÿคค)

Iโ€™ll plan my meals, write out my grocery list and head to the shops on one day, then prep my meals either later that day or the next one. Just so it doesnโ€™t feel so much at all once.

Sooooo this weekend was a perfect reminder as to why I do things a certain way!

Sometimes thing donโ€™t go to the plan, thatโ€™s okay! As long as you can be flexible in your approach, and be ready and willing to make some changes to the plan if needed ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ

Itโ€™s important that you choose to do things that make YOU happy and that YOU enjoy ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฅฐ

And that applies to everything in life.

Please be mindful of this when setting your goals for 2022.

Working toward a goal doesnโ€™t mean you have to change everything or cut out things that you enjoy, thatโ€™s not sustainable.

Itโ€™s important to find a balance โค๏ธ

And Christmas has come & gone for another year ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Things to remember:
๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ You do not need to train for hours to โ€œburn offโ€ your food and drink.
๐ŸŽ„ You do not need to skip meals because you ate 2 bowls of dessert.
๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ Please do not talk nasty to yourself because you enjoyed some extra food and drink.
๐ŸŽ„ Please do not talk nasty to yourself because you skipped your normal 5am wake up to workout, and replaced it with some extra sleep.

The best thing to do is embrace all the yummy things you ate and drank, and do your normal thang.

No double workout, no missing meals - just your normal things youโ€™ve been working on all year ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿฅฐ
