🌿 Asthma affects more Australians than you might think.

Around 1 in 9 Australians live with asthma, and approximately 33,000 people were hospitalised with asthma in 2024–25. Almost 45% of these hospitalisations were children aged 14 years and under.

With pollen and other seasonal triggers on the rise, now is a good time to make sure your Asthma Action Plan and medications are up to date 🗓️

If you have questions or concerns about your asthma, come in and have a chat with one of our bush nurses — we’re here to help 💚

It’s that time of year again to start preparing our homes and properties for the dry, hot months ahead. If you don’t have an emergency plan - start making one now! 🔥

Welcome to spring!

After shivering through three months of winter, we're close to no-coat weather.

While our emergency services across the state are busy preparing for the high-risk weather season, it's time for you to start preparing as well.

⛔️ Update ⛔️

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr Howard has had to return to Melbourne at very short notice and we need to postpone the book reading evening.

Dr Howard is very apologetic for the inconvenience. Please be assured that he is well, so there is no cause for concern. Once a new date has been confirmed, we will be in touch with further details.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your understanding.

📚 Join Dr Howard for a special evening of reading and reflection

Before retiring next month, Dr Howard will be returning to ODH for one final visit.

To mark the occasion, Dr Howard is hosting a special book-reading next Wednesday evening. All proceeds from book sales will go towards our UCC Equipment Special Purpose Fund, helping support the purchase of vital equipment.

Come along, enjoy an evening of stories and support a cause that benefits our community.
