No more wasting money on supplements you don’t need or won’t work.

Instead assess your diet for what’s lacking and get a blood test to see if you’re nutritionally deficient.

You’ve changed the way you eat. Maybe your fully vegan, maybe you are trying to increase the plants on your plate. Or maybe your lifestage has changed. But are you confident you’re getting everything you need?

Many of the people I work with aren’t confused about vegan nutrition—they’re simply looking for reassurance that they’re on the right track. Or maybe they are not feeling as good as they know they can.

Through comprehensive assessment, dietary analysis, and where appropriate, pathology or gut microbiome testing, I help vegans move beyond guesswork and gain confidence in their nutrition.

If you’ve gone vegan and want to know whether it’s truly working for your body, I’d love to help.

What’s the decision process when it comes to choosing a supplement?

For many people it’s based on advice from friends, influencers or articles.

But it should be based on diet analysis, blood work, signs and symptoms, current medications to ensure no interactions and of course, achieving the outcome you want.

This holistic approach ensures the nutrient form, dose and timing of your supplement will support your health goals in stead of, at worst, have a negative health side effect.

Raw vegan diets can be used short term as an elimination diet for health reasons, but long term, I’m not a fan and don’t think it’s necessary or healthy.

Good health is so much more than just the food we eat and raw vegan risks isolating yourself more. A well balanced vegan diet is already healthy enough.

Have you tried raw vegan? Would love to hear your experience.

If you don’t understand plant based nutrition, or you are biased against it, it’s best you don’t comment on it. Especially as a health professional.

The key to a healthy balanced plant based diet, or any diet really, is a mix of protein, healthy whole grains and lots of colourful vegetables and fruits.

As I have aged, and now as a 50 yr old, I include more tofu, tempeh and seitan in my diet.

While I still eat lots of legumes, they are super healthy and full of fibre and micronutrients, I use far more tofu and tempeh.

This has really served me well going through peri and menopause and more importantly, it’s delicious and satiating.

Appetite can decrease as you age, so including these protein dense foods can be really helpful in helping you hit your macros without becoming obsessive or using protein powders. Nothing against, protein powders, I recommend them often, but I just like eating my macros as opposed to drinking them.
