It's not.

Short answer, yes. The chamber sits around minus 110 degrees.

But here is what most first-timers do not expect. Because the air is dry, the cold feels sharp, not painful. The first 30 seconds are the toughest part. After that, your body settles and the three minutes pass quickly.

If DOMS is hanging around for 3 or 4 days, that's not a badge of honour. It's your body telling you it can't clear inflammation fast enough on its own.

Most of the time, the fix isn't training less. It's recovering smarter.

3 minutes of full-body cold exposure drops inflammation markers and brings fresh oxygenated blood back into your muscles. You feel the difference within hours, and the next training day actually feels training day, not damage control.
