This is such a great collection of films. I highly recommend paying the $38 for the ability to screen these and watch them.

Djäkamirr especially! I have the privilege of knowing the women behind this project and was incredibly lucky to have done my Doula training with Renee from Womb to Tomb Doula. I feel so blessed to have been taught by this woman and had her wisdom and knowledge imparted on me in the process.

Well worth the watch! Truly can’t recommend it highly enough!
AND - They have just released their second film Maypilama which I cannot wait to see.

Large population studies show that the absolute risk of stillbirth remains extremely low between 39–42 weeks:

39 weeks: ~0.9 per 1,000 ongoing pregnancies (≈99.9% chance of baby being born alive)

40 weeks: ~1.0 per 1,000 (≈99.9%)

41 weeks: ~1.3 per 1,000 (≈99.8%)

42 weeks: ~1.7 per 1,000 (≈99.7%)

These figures come from national datasets like the CDC’s National Vital Statistics and the U.K. Office for National Statistics, as well as peer‑reviewed studies in Obstetrics & Gynecology and BJOG.

This week, I witnessed my very first true knot in the cord. A quiet reminder that not everything needs to be found or managed during pregnancy. Some things are simply held safely until they reveal themselves.

This mama’s labour unfolded slowly over three days, with long spacious pauses in between. Contractions would come and go, giving baby the time needed to adjust and find the way through. This kind of rhythm is something we often see when there is a true knot, where babies may need a little more space between waves.

There is deep wisdom in this dance between mother and baby. When we try to rush or add pressure, we can sometimes interrupt something that is already working as it should. And sometimes, doing less is exactly what keeps things safe. 🤍
