You’ve just had major abdominal surgery.. and the advice?

“Just start walking!”

But no one tells you how to do it safely or why it matters.

Walking after a caesarean can support your recovery or set you back… depending on how it’s done.

As a Women’s Health Exercise Physiologist, here’s what I want every mum to know:

✔️ It’s not about how far you go
✔️ It’s about what your scar, pelvic floor and core can handle
✔️ And yes, laying flat after your walks can actually help your healing. You're not lazy.

We’re not chasing steps.
We’re honouring your body’s recovery from surgery 🙏🏽

Swipe through to learn the most overlooked walking tip for C-section recovery and how to walk with purpose, not pressure.

Ready for a recovery plan that’s tailored to your body?
DM "RECOVERY" and I’ll send you on your way.

Two years this June 16 🤍 Grief doesn’t follow a straight line, and I’m still moving through it. Some days feel lighter, others hit like a wave I never saw coming.

Personally, the words missed miscarriage still haunt me. They don’t sit right with me, not after going through it firsthand. But that doesn’t mean they carry the same weight for every woman who has walked this path. That’s the thing about loss - it's deeply personal.

The medical system already strips away so much control during this process. The least we can do is give that control back - letting her choose the words that feel right for her.

If you’re supporting someone through pregnancy loss, this is one of the most powerful things you can do. Give her the space to decide how she wants to be spoken about. And remember, her partner is grieving too.

Save this for when you need it. Share it with your village. Because knowing how to show up in these moments makes all the difference 🙏🏽
