EYES: THE PORTAL TO TRUTH

To study under Etienne is to be brought entirely to my knees; it is a humbling, breathtaking testament to a depth of teaching that goes far beyond technique and touches the absolute fabric of consciousness.

In my newest blog post, I explore how vision is so much more than an optical mechanism—it is a living archive of how I entered the world. Through the profound teachings of master teacher Etienne Peirsman Etienne Peirsman, the sacred container of Krishna Village Krishna Village | Yoga Centre and my beautiful practice partner, Amber, whose presence exquisitely gave what my nervous system needed, I unveiled what happens when the eyes finally surrender their fierce protective grip.

When cellular tissue meets absolute safety, ancient survival strategies unravel, and the optic pathway opens up to access the unspoken and unseen.

MEETING SCIENCE AND SPIRITUALITY ON THE SAME PLANE

Many years ago, a monk from Self Realization Fellowship introduced me to the book “Spiritual Bypassing: When Spirituality Disconnects Us from What Really Matters” by Robert Augustus Masters. That conversation left an indelible imprint on me—especially when I was wrestling with the profound difference between "forgetting the body" and “forgetting body consciousness”.

He made me realise how easily I could use concepts of chasing “high vibration” as a protective shield, enforcing “positive thinking” to unconsciously flee the messy, raw reality of being human.

His words set me on a journey that revealed a profound truth: Spirit isn't something floating high above the wreckage of my history; it is honoured in the inherent, living intelligence of the health that has been there since my conception, awaiting beneath the protective-armour.

When my nervous system is locked in survival—whether in a dorsal freeze or a hypervigilant loop following shock and trauma, it is the brilliance of a hard-earned defence mechanism at play. But my body does not need me to bypass my anatomy, it needs a felt-sense of biological safety.

Without inhabiting this physical vessel fully, I would have missed the depth of what it means to truly be human. There is nowhere to escape—and honestly, I wouldn't want to. I honour being a human, with all its messiness and rawness!

I can’t wait to delve deeper into these exact intersections as I count the days toward the Oxford Trauma Conference and its powerful theme: Science, Spirit and the Body: The Synthesis of Healing. Register via Link in Bio to secure your ticket.

BRIDGING SCIENCE, SPIRIT, AND THE BODY ✨

Counting down the days until the Oxford Trauma Conference, 14–17th September! 🗓️

I can’t wait to connect with world experts as we explore this year’s theme: Science, Spirit and the Body: The Synthesis of Healing (organised by ).

Even after completing my Compassionate Inquiry year-long training a while ago, the words of Dr. Gabor Maté () continue to anchor my work and my daily practice:

🕊️ “Trauma is not what happens to you. It’s what happens inside you, as a result of what happens to you.”

And each time he mentioned Craniosacral as an invaluable modality in the field of trauma healing during the training, it lit such a special spark within me!

This truth is what deepens my passion every single day. While cognitive work has its place, true trauma healing requires bottom-up, body-based modalities to help the nervous system process what words simply cannot reach.

To say I am excited to be attending the Oxford Trauma Conference in person is an understatement. Alongside amazing colleagues, I will be offering taster sessions, bringing these somatic frameworks into a live, shared collective space.

If you're attending in person, I would love to cross paths and share reflections. And if your heart is stirred to join us from afar, you are warmly invited to experience it online—you can find details and tickets here: https://mastersevents.com/?ref=12691💻🌸

"I THOUGHT TRAUMA WAS ALL IN MY HEAD!"

Someone said this to me recently... It’s a common misconception—we think our stress, and emotional weight live solely in our thoughts.

But science has proven that the body tells a very different story!

Think about how we meet the world each day. We look—we take in light or shadow. We speak—we swallow in joy or shame. The face and the jaw are our primary interfaces with reality—the frontline responders when we feel relaxed and rejoiced, or startled and overwhelmed.

When shock or stress hits, it doesn't just pass through. It can anchor in our very cells. Long after an event has passed, the delicate bones of the cranium, the cranial nerves, and the deep fascial webs of the jaw stay braced with grit!

Where do you feel the echoes of yesterday in your face and jaw right now?

Are you holding your breath and locking your history into your physical structure?

This is where Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) enters quietly.

Instead of forcing a release, BCST recognises that the body already knows how it got into protection—and it knows the way back to ease. Through a still, non-invasive, and deeply listening touch, we meet those hidden places of stress and tension.

When the nervous system feels truly safe and held, it doesn't have to fight anymore. It begins to soften from the inside out, allowing old shock and trauma to complete its cycle and leave the tissue.

TRUE HEALING ISN'T ABOUT FIXING YOUR MIND. IT’S ABOUT LISTENING TO THE PROFOUND WISDOM YOUR BODY HAS BEEN CARRYING ALL ALONG.

MOVING BEYOND THE LABEL, INTO EQUANIMITY 🌿

Neurodiversity is deeply complex—shaped by embryology, environment, trauma, and unique threads of life. There is no single cause, and certainly no single “solution.”

Yet beneath every label and symptom, one truth remains: every single one of us grew from a single embryo. 🤍

When our mindset is “there is something wrong with you because you don’t fit the norm,” we create segregation. But when we step onto the plane of equanimity—operating from the principle that inherent health exists in every cell—everything changes. We stop trying to “fix” a condition and start honouring the person.

I recently supported an 8-year-old boy diagnosed with ADHD, autism, and anxiety. To help him understand his nervous system, we talked about Legos and fizzy drinks:

“When you open a Lego box, the pieces can get scattered. But inside, there is a manual showing how it all belongs together—you hold that manual in your body. But what happens if the world keeps shaking the box, like a shaken can of fizzy drink, and we rip it open without letting it settle?”

He looked up and said: “Explode!”

“Exactly. That’s what happens when we don’t give your body time to settle gently.”

In our session, we held space for the fizz to settle at its own pace. Afterward, he rolled his arms and smiled:

“Oh wow! I’ve never felt how fun the fizzy oozing from my body is. I can roll my arms and breathe better! I don’t have to hold my breath!” 🌬️

How many of us are holding our breath under the weight of labels?

BCST isn’t here to solve neurodiversity. It provides a neutral, safe container for the natural rhythm of health to return—so the pressure can release, the breath can return, and your system can reconnect with its own wisdom. ✨

THE ARCHITECTURE OF HEALING: RETURNING TO THE WIDE EXPANSE

There is a sacred architecture to how we heal, how we grow, and how we eventually submerge in collective potency.

Stepping into the living, breathing field of Krishna Village Krishna Village | Yoga Centre feels like entering a dialogue with time itself. Amidst the sun-drenched warmth of marigolds and the quiet wisdom of ancient trees, we gathered—not just to study the delicate language of the body and the craniosacral rhythm, but to remember the art of deep listening.

An immense, heartfelt thank you to Etienne and Toshiko Etienne Peirsman , whose profound mastery and gentle guidance illuminate the path of biodynamic with such grace.

To the entire community of wonderful souls who shared this space, rejoiced together, and held space for deep transformation: thank you for the shared resonance and the sanctuary of your hearts.

As I leave these fields and step back out into the open expanse of nature, my heart is quieted, full, and infinitely expanded. Carrying these quiet ripples forward into the work, and into the world. 🌿💛✨

These words are for you:

Awakening to the sun’s warmth,

rooted in the sanctuary of joy.

Settling into shared breath,

anchored in the united heart.

As the wisdom unfolds

in the art of profound presence,

the edges of the past soften,

the lightness emerges.

As the spirit is honoured,

we settle into deep stillness,

returning to the wide expanse.

BEYOND GENETICS: FETAL PROGRAMMING, ORGAN ADAPTATION, AND THE SPLEEN

For as long as I can remember, I lived with low platelet counts. The narrative I carried was simple: “It’s just genetic.” 🩸✨

But during a recent advanced training with master teacher Etienne Peirsman Etienne Peirsman , everything shifted.

What unfolded in our practice session, it wasn’t a product of imagination, visualisation, or wishful thinking. From a rigorous scientific standpoint, it was direct engagement with my FETAL PROGRAAMMING and EPIGENETIC ADAPTATION.

During gestation, a developing fetus continuously adapts its physiology in response to the maternal environment. Because my mother experienced low platelet counts during pregnancy, my developing system made a precise physiological compromise for survival. The biological story my visceral tissue locked in was clear: “Prioritise the liver’s metabolic demands; redirect resources away from the spleen.”

To protect core organ development, my spleen adapted by operating at a lower capacity, remaining small, cautious, and structurally restricted ever since.

In stillness, working through the embryological blueprint and the vascular architecture of the portal system, the tissue didn’t need a “fix”—it needed safety and precise mechanical permission to repattern. By engaging primary fluid drives originating from the cardiovascular system, a true wave of vascular integration and tissue reperfusion swept through.

My spleen woke up. My spleen is happy. 💖

This is the power of working with the body’s innate neuro-embryological memory. Nothing is impossible when we work with biological reality rather than against it. I am continuing this repair work through self-practice, and I will report back on how my system awakes to this renewal!

Have you ever looked at a chronic pattern through the lens of developmental adaptation? Let me know in the comments. 👇

YOUR EYES AREN’T JUST SEEING THE WORLD—THEY’RE STORING IT. 👁️✨

How much hidden stress and unprocessed strain, or even trauma have your eyes carried over a lifetime—and how often do we give them permission to truly rest and restore?

Spending four days exploring Eyes & Vision with Etienne Peirsman was a profound awakening. We so easily forget that embryologically, our eyes are direct outgrowths of the brain. They don’t merely capture light; they absorb and hold our lived experience.

Learning to unthread deep orbital tension, drop old conditioning, and invite the visual system into soft presence has been transformative—both for my work at the table and for myself. 🌿

Infinite gratitude to Etienne Etienne Peirsman for his mastery, guidance, and heart across these four days, and to Krishna Village | Yoga Centre for giving us a nourishing space. 🤍

When was the last time you let your eyes pause, soften, and receive?
