Are consumers helping shape decisions in your organisation, or simply being consulted?

Many healthcare organisations are investing more into consumer engagement, yet consumer input does not always influence planning, service delivery or improvement activities in meaningful ways.

The Partnering with Consumers Workshop explores practical approaches to involving patients, carers and communities across healthcare systems, governance and service improvement.

What is the return on investment of healthcare accreditation?

The value of accreditation goes far beyond compliance.

Accreditation supports healthcare organisations to strengthen governance, leadership, organisational culture and quality improvement capability.

The real return is not simply a certificate or accreditation status.

It is stronger risk management, greater Board assurance, improved operational reliability, better patient outcomes and a healthcare system that continuously learns and improves. In a complex healthcare environment, accreditation is best viewed as a strategic investment in organisational capability, resilience and long-term performance.

As healthcare systems evolve, the focus is shifting from accreditation as an event to continuous improvement as an organisational capability.

That is where the greatest value is realised.

Workforce safety and wellbeing are closely linked to patient safety. Building strong safety cultures, supportive teams, and psychologically safe workplaces is essential to delivering consistent, high-quality care.

Growing evidence of psychological strain across the health workforce reinforces that this is not just a wellbeing concern, it is a core system safety issue that affects outcomes, performance, and retention.

How can patient feedback improve healthcare outcomes?

Mouwasat Hospital Jubail (Saudi Arabia), winner of the Healthcare Measurement category at the ACHSI Quality Improvement Awards 2025, showed how Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) can drive measurable improvements in safety, quality and efficiency.

Their results included:
โ–ถ๏ธPatient satisfaction increased from 79% to 84%
โ–ถ๏ธAverage length of stay reduced from 5.2 to 2.4 days
โ–ถ๏ธBetter diabetes outcomes and reduced healthcare costs

The project is a powerful example of how listening to patients can support better clinical decisions and more patient-centred care.
