Join us tomorrow evening for a sit, dharma talk and shared group discussion. The session will be guided by Renata Malinauskas on the topic

“Freedom through Embodied Investigation”

In this talk, Renata explores Investigation—a vital quality of heart and mind known as one of the Seven Factors of Awakening. Investigation invites us into intimate, embodied presence with our moment-to-moment experience. Through cultivating curiosity and the willingness to meet reality directly, we learn to gently loosen identification with stories, concepts, and conditioned patterns, and open to the freshness of what is truly here. Rooted in mindfulness and supported by wisdom, investigation becomes a portal—not only into insight and freedom, but into the compassionate and luminous essence of our being.

See details of the session below:

📍When: Thursday 26th June. Please arrive at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.
📍Where: 59 Old Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon Beach NSW 2107 (Annexe, detached building near the playground)
📍Cost: $10 + donation

We look forward to seeing you there.

Join us tomorrow evening in Avalon for a sit, dharma talk and shared group discussion. Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome.

The session will be guided by Renata Malinauskas on the topic “Coming Home to our True Nature”.

What if you’re not just the wave, but the whole ocean? 🌊

This week I’ll be sharing a Dharma talk on the path of remembering who we are beneath the surface of our thoughts, emotions, and stories.

Drawing on the Buddha’s teachings and the beautiful metaphor from Thich Nhat Hanh — “Enlightenment is when a wave realizes it is the ocean” — we’ll explore how suffering arises not from our experience itself, but from clinging to it.

This is an invitation to gently step back from identification, and come home to the vast, open awareness that holds it all.

See details of the session below:

📍When: Thursday 19th June. Please arrive at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.
📍 Where: 59 Old Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon Beach NSW 2107 (Annexe, detached building near the playground)
📍Cost: $10 + donation

We look forward to seeing you there.

“The Roots of Suffering, the Path to Freedom.”:

Why do we suffer? And how do we let go?

So much of our human suffering comes not just from life’s difficulties, but from how we relate to them. When things don’t go our way, or when we cling to what feels good, we can become trapped in a cycle of reactivity and disconnection—from ourselves, from others, and from life. In this talk, we’ll explore what it really means to let go—not by pushing things away, but by meeting our experience with clarity and care. Together, we’ll inquire into the roots of suffering and the possibility of freedom that arises when we open to life as it is.

See details of the session below:

📍When: Thursday 12th June. Please arrive at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.
📍Where: 59 Old Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon Beach NSW 2107 (Annexe, detached building near the playground)

Join us this evening for a sit, dharma talk and shared group discussion. The session will be guided by Renata on the topic “Timeless Wisdom for Modern Times.”

What brings you to this path? Often, it’s because we sense there’s something deeper—something we can’t quite touch through our roles, outer achievements or control. In this talk, we’ll explore the timeless truths that the Buddha and other wisdom traditions have pointed to for centuries: the impermanence of all things, the truth of suffering, and the insight that we’re not as separate or solid as we think. As we start to see these realities more clearly—in our own minds, hearts, and bodies—something softens. We let go a little. And in that letting go, find more peace, compassion, and a deeper sense of belonging in this ever-changing world.

📍When: Thursday 29th May. Please arrive at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.
📍Where: 59 Old Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon Beach NSW 2107 (Annexe, near the playground)
📍Cost: $10 + donation

We look forward to seeing you there.

Dear sangha

We are happy to inform that our sangha meetings are back from this coming Thursday in Avalon.

The meetings will take place at the Community Centre in Avalon Beach (Annexe), on Thursday evenings from 7–8:45pm. The sessions will be taught and facilitated alternately by Renata and Sarah, giving us the opportunity to connect weekly and create some consistency as a group.

Our hope is that we’ll have enough support from both the insight and local communities so we can build enough momentum for the ongoing unfolding of the group. So if this type of offering resonates with you, we’d love your support—whether by attending the meetings and/or helping to spread the word to anyone you think might benefit.

Please feel free to get in touch by sending us a DM with any questions or suggestions you may have.

We look forward to connecting with you!

With much metta,
