Here at Zen OM we invite you to join us on a yoga journey that will enhance your wellbeing, improve your physical posture and abilities, put you in touch with the seasons and nurture your spiritual side. Zen Om Yoga Studio offers Western Sydney residents the opportunity to reap the physical and mental benefits of Japanese Yoga. Japanese Yoga is the gentle art of moving our bodies with the seasons.

This form of yoga results in improved flexibility, strength and a feeling of wellbeing that comes with understanding how our bodies follow the rhythm of the seasons. Preeti Shah will be your yoga instructor, fitness mentor and spiritual light during your time at Zen Om Yoga Studio. Preeti's interest in health, nutrition, wellbeing and yoga has developed over a period of more than 15 years. Having completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2001, she was the owner and pharmacist of Health Medicos Pharmacy in India from 2001 to 2004. Sparked by her pharmaceutical background and her own practice of yoga, Preeti’s interest in a holistic approach to health, lead to Australia where she studied nutrition and accomplished her certification in Japanese Yoga Teaching. Not everything that changes us is visible.πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

Some of the most meaningful progress happens quietly, in the moments no one else sees. Choosing to return to the mat when motivation is low. Taking one deeper breath instead of rushing ahead. Learning to be patient with yourself on the days when everything feels a little harder.

Yoga reminds us that growth is rarely linear. Some days feel strong and steady, others feel uncertain and uneven. Both are part of the journey. The practice is not about getting everything right. It is about staying present through the process and trusting that each step forward, no matter how small, matters.

Progress does not need to look perfect to be real. Often, it is the honest, imperfect moments that teach us the most.

The breath is always with us, yet it is often the first thing we lose connection with when life becomes busy, overwhelming, or uncertain.

Yoga invites us back to this simple anchor. Not because the breath solves every challenge, but because it changes the way we meet those challenges. When we bring our attention to breathing, the mind becomes less scattered, the body softens, and we create space between ourselves and the constant stream of thoughts demanding our attention.

The practice reminds us that we do not need to have everything figured out at once. We do not need to force clarity or chase certainty. Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is return to the breath, trust the present moment, and take the next step from a place of awareness rather than urgency.

The body is constantly responding to the way we move through daily life. Long hours sitting, stress held in the shoulders, tension carried through the neck and back, over time, the body adapts to these patterns without us even noticing.

Yoga creates an opportunity to reconnect with that awareness. Through mindful movement and steady practice, the spine begins to lengthen, the body strengthens gently, and tightness starts to release. What once felt restricted slowly becomes more

Sometimes the body asks for rest, but what it truly needs is movement, breath, and space to release what has been building quietly over time.

Tension does not always come from physical strain. It can come from rushing through the day, holding onto stress, sitting too long, overthinking, or moving through life without ever slowing down enough to notice how we feel.

Yoga helps us reconnect with those signals before exhaustion becomes normal and overwhelm becomes routine. Through steady movement and mindful breathing, the body begins to soften, the mind becomes clearer, and things that once felt heavy start to feel more manageable again.

Often, the signs are already there. We just learn to ignore them.

Before the pace quickens and the mind begins moving in every direction, yoga offers a moment to return to stillness. A moment to breathe fully, move gently, and reconnect with the body before the outside world asks for your attention.

Morning practice is not about doing more. It is about creating steadiness from within. With each breath, the body begins to awaken naturally, the mind becomes less restless, and the day feels easier to move through with awareness and balance.
