• Currently using androgens/anabolic steroids without a prescription
OR
have used androgens/anabolic steroids without a prescription in the last year,

To participate in this study, you will be asked to provide sets of blood, urine, and semen samples at various times during the study.
Participation in this study is entirely voluntary. Any data collected will be confidential and will not identify you. This study has been approved by the SLHD ethics committee (Protocol 2021/ETH11807).

Thank you for your interest in this research study. We would like to invite men aged 18-50 years to participate in this study which aims to investigate whether a short course of medical treatment will speed up the recovery of the suppressed reproductive system following stopping androgen use.
Androgen use is known to suppress reproductive function and we are investigating the role of medical treatment in speeding up recovery in this placebo controlled randomised study. The study will require participants to provide a blood, urine and semen sample for analysis at Concord Repatriation General Hospital at regular intervals. We will provide you with some of the results of these tests for free.
