Foods that enhance satiety and help you lose weight: Eggs
🥚 Eggs are high biological value protein.
🥚 A study in health weight men found increased satiety, reduced hunger and lower desire to eat after a breakfast containing eggs compared with cereal and croissant based meals.
🥚 These findings were replicated in a later study which found that consuming eggs for breakfast produced a greater overall satiety and reduced food intake.
🥚 In individuals who are overweight or obese , hunger and energy consumption were significantly lower following egg consumption . Put together these observed effects on acute appetite and subsequent food intake , would be expected to result in weight loss over a more chronic time scale
