When knee pain lingers, it can start to shape your choices — fewer outings, shorter walks, less confidence. This 6-week program brings clarity to what’s driving your discomfort and how exercise, diet, and education can help. You’ll work through guided sessions to strengthen muscles around the knee, enhance balance, and improve endurance. By combining knowledge and action, you’ll discover new ways to move comfortably and trust your joints again.

Next week’s session will centre around the question: “How do you keep your affected joints moving?” with the conversation guided by what matters most to the group on the day. Many people find these sessions helpful not just for sharing ideas, but for hearing what’s working for others and feeling less alone in it. We keep these sessions supportive and friendly so everyone feels comfortable joining in. If possible, switch on your microphone and camera so we can include you in the discussion more naturally. It’s a safe place to connect with others who have lived experience of RA.

Join us next week on 10 June at 6:30pm AEST.

Strength training isn’t just for athletes. It is for everyone. 💪

Research shows it can improve muscle strength, balance, and confidence, helping you stay independent and move more comfortably in everyday life.

For people living with arthritis, osteoporosis, or persistent pain, it is not about pushing through discomfort. It is about starting at a level that feels right for your body and building gradually over time.

Even small, consistent strength work can make a meaningful difference in how you move and feel day to day.

As Exercise Right Week 2026 comes to a close, one message stands out: movement matters, but it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Across the week, we’ve shared how our EPs support people to build strength, confidence, and function through tailored exercise. Whether it’s starting with small movements, rebuilding after pain, or progressing strength over time, every step counts. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s consistency, support, and finding what works for your body 💙

Strength training supports far more than muscle development. It plays an important role in long-term health, particularly for people living with musculoskeletal conditions 💪 It can help improve bone health, support joint stability, enhance balance, and make everyday tasks like lifting, walking, and carrying feel easier.

The best part is that strength training can be adapted to suit any age, ability, or condition, making it one of the most accessible and impactful forms of exercise for lifelong health.

If you would like to see what this looks like in practice, revisit our Lifestyle Session with EPs Caitlin Johnson and Robyn Yin, Lifting for Longevity: Why Your Bones Need Strength Training, where they explore how strength training supports bone health and long-term resilience.

This Exercise Right Week, we’re highlighting the role exercise plays in helping people build strength, improve confidence in movement, and support everyday function over time 💙

When it’s tailored to the individual and progressed gradually, exercise can help reduce fear around movement, improve capacity for daily tasks, and support a more confident return to the things that matter most.

Olivia’s story is a great example of this in practice. She came to the clinic with shoulder pain that was making everyday activities difficult, especially cooking for her son’s visit.

Through a simple, consistent home exercise routine focused on building strength and restoring function, she gradually regained confidence in her shoulder. Now she’s back cooking for her family and has even progressed to doing push-ups.

Continuing Exercise Right Week, we’re highlighting how movement becomes possible again with the right support 💙 Meet Exercise Physiologist Alessandro Llana, who works with people living with chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions to rebuild strength and improve movement in a safe, structured way.

His approach is gradual, individualised, and meets people where they are at. Whether it is arthritis, persistent pain, or returning to exercise after time away, Alessandro focuses on making movement feel more achievable again, with steady progress and confidence building over time.

This Exercise Right Week, we’re highlighting how the right exercise approach can help people move with more confidence, even when pain feels uncertain or unpredictable.

When exercise is tailored and progressed gradually, it can help build strength, reduce fear around movement, and support a better understanding of how the body responds over time.

Allen’s story is a great example of this in practice. He was dealing with ongoing Achilles, knee, and wrist pain, and felt anxious about exercising when pain was present.

Through a structured, gradual strength program and learning how to work through flare-ups, he built confidence in his body again. Now he’s completing regular strength sessions, rowing, and has returned to surfing and yoga.

As Exercise Right Week continues, we’re sharing how small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful change 💙 Meet Exercise Physiologist Kayleen Falconer, who works with people living with conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis to build strength safely and progressively.

Kayleen focuses on what the body can do today and how that can be gradually expanded over time. She is especially passionate about showing that strength training can be adapted at any stage of life, with small consistent changes supporting meaningful improvements in daily function.
