When patients explore revision surgery it means a different surgical plan for a different starting point.

This patient underwent removal and replacement of her existing breast implants, together with fat grafting.

For her revision, 515cc MENTOR implants were selected to create a fuller, rounder breast shape. In her postoperative images you can see more fullness through the upper breast and a more balanced overall contour.

This case is a good example of why revision breast surgery needs to be planned individually. Previous surgery, the existing implant pocket, breast tissue, chest proportions and the position of the implants all influence both implant selection and the surgical approach.

The goal isn’t simply a larger implant, it’s choosing an approach that works with the patient’s existing anatomy and the changes required from their previous surgery.

When balance is the goal, symmetry doesn’t always mean choosing the same implant.

For this patient breast augmentation wasn’t about choosing the same implant for each side. Her surgical plan was developed around her existing breast volume, subtle side to side differences and overall chest proportions.

Dr Wessels performed a breast augmentation using Motiva implants, 340cc to the left breast and 320cc to the right. Fat grafting was incorporated to further refine the contour and soft tissue coverage, alongside an internal bra technique as part of the surgical plan.

Viewed from the front and profile, the result shows increased volume and projection, greater upper pole fullness and a more balanced breast shape while remaining considered in proportion to her frame.

This case highlights why implant selection is so individual. Sometimes achieving greater balance means selecting different volumes for each breast, rather than treating both sides identically.

Sometimes the detail is in the combination.

For this patient Dr Louis Wessels performed a breast augmentation with fat grafting, combining implants with the patient’s own fat to further refine the breast shape and contour.

The surgical plan included 325cc Mentor Round High Profile implants selected in consideration of her existing breast volume, chest proportions and desired outcome.

Looking across the before and after images her result shows increase in projection, upper pole fullness and overall breast volume with a fuller, more rounded contour through the breast.

Lift, volume and shape addressed in one carefully considered surgical plan.

This patient underwent a breast augmentation with mastopexy and fat grafting, combining three techniques within the same operation to address breast position, volume and overall contour.

Her surgical plan included Mentor implants with different volumes on each side. 400cc right and 375cc left selected in consideration of her existing breast tissue and proportions.

The result shows a higher breast position, increased upper pole fullness and projection and a more rounded overall breast shape. Fat grafting was incorporated as an additional tool to refine the contour and complement the implant based augmentation.

This case is a good example of why breast surgery is highly individualised. Implant selection is not simply about choosing a cup size or a number of ccs. Existing breast volume, tissue quality, chest proportions, breast position and the desired outcome all influence the surgical approach.

When multiple techniques come together to create a more balanced result.

This patient underwent a combined breast augmentation, mastopexy and fat grafting to address breast position, existing asymmetry and volume within the same surgical plan.

Using Mentor 440cc implants on both sides, the augmentation was combined with a breast lift to reposition and reshape the breast, while fat grafting was incorporated to further refine the overall contour.

The result is a fuller breast shape with increased projection and upper pole volume, while maintaining proportions that work with her existing chest anatomy.

This case is a good example of why breast surgery is highly individualised. Implant selection is only one part of the planning process. Existing breast tissue, skin, breast position, chest proportions and the degree of lift required are all considered when developing a surgical approach.
