This blog is the first in a series which examines practical examples of how current clients in the UK are achieving their outcomes.

This edition examines how providers are reducing falls by identifying unrecognised pain with PainChek. Pain is a significant driver of falls in care homes, especially with lower leg pain. If this pain isn't properly identified and managed, falls and, therefore, injuries can occur unnecessarily. This can result in decreased quality of life, increased level of hospital admissions, and sometimes placement breakdowns.

Improving the way you identify pain, especially for those living with a cognitive impairment, is the crucial first step in effectively managing pain and avoiding significant incidents further down the line.

One in six people globally will be aged 60+ by 2030. Care homes are already feeling the strain.
