▪️ Sutures are typically removed at 5–7 days, with swelling and bruising commonly improving over 7–10 days.

Upper blepharoplasty is designed to address excess upper eyelid skin and improve eyelid contour in selected patients.

44-year-old woman, 3 months following bilateral breast implant removal and total capsulectomy.

She initially presented with progressive left-sided breast swelling and a Baker Grade IV capsular contracture. Investigation demonstrated a delayed peri-implant seroma, which is an uncommon but important finding that requires thorough assessment.

A delayed seroma is a fluid collection that develops around a breast implant more than one year after implantation. While most cases are benign, delayed swelling around a breast implant should always be investigated to exclude Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL), a rare cancer of the immune system that can occur in the capsule surrounding an implant.

Management depends on the underlying cause, symptoms, implant history, and patient goals. In this case, treatment involved bilateral implant removal and complete capsulectomy, with an excellent recovery and significant improvement in comfort and breast shape.
