SENATE PASSES MAJOR NDIS REFORMS:

Last week the Senate passed the NDIS Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 by 28 votes to 12 after securing Coalition support and tabling 63 amendments.

KEY AIMS OF THE LEGISLATION INCLUDE:

✅ Clarifying eligibility and what supports the NDIS funds
✅ Strengthening fraud and integrity measures
✅ Improving plan management rules
✅ Adding extra safeguards for participants who need continuous 24-hour care

The Bill now returns to the House of Representatives (expected to pass quickly) before it can become law.

WhiteBream are watching the next steps closely and will keep our participants, families and team updated on what it means in practice.
