Let’s talk blending 👩🎨
My makeup style is all about blending with no harsh edges. The request here was for a wing, and thank god Jess asked for it to be smoked out otherwise I don’t know if I’d have it in me.
Blended edges will naturally create that sultry, big eye effect that I know we all love 💗
If you’re struggling to blend your eyeshadow try the below tips:
- Keep your brushes on the smaller side. The smaller the brush, the more control you have over where the eyeshadow goes. It’s amazing the difference a brush can make - oh and make sure they’re clean!
- Less is more. You can always add more colour, it’s a lot harder to try and take it away.
- Start with a dry and smooth eyelid base. Ie if you’ve used an eye primer or have foundation on the eyelids, do a sweep of translucent powder so the shadow doesn’t grip in places.
- Minimum 2 colours used ensuring the colours are of the same tone ( we don’t want warm colours mixed with cool colours). Pick a colour to blend out with that isn’t too far off the first colour you’ve used. Ideally a few shades lighter.
Happy blending!
