most of us mentally believe we love ourselves.

We know we’re worthy. We know self-care matters.
We tell our friends to rest, slow down, and look after themselves.

But when we’re exhausted?
Often We keep going.
We ignore what our body is asking for.
Maybe you tell yourself: Everyone is tired.
I’ll rest when this is finished.
I just need to get through this week.
I should be doing more.

And that’s where the gap shows up.
The gap between what we know…
and what we actually do.

Because self-love isn’t something we prove rationally with words.
It’s something we practise through our actions.

Especially in the moments when we’re tired, overwhelmed, or unmotivated.

So I’ll leave you with that second question.

For years, I thought this was just the way I was…

• Replaying conversations for days
• Pushing harder no matter how tired I felt
• Comparing myself to everyone else
• Struggling to switch off

It took me years to realise these weren’t personality flaws.

They were signs of subconscious beliefs and protective patterns that were keeping me small, exhausted, and often disconnected from the life I truly wanted.

As I began working more closely with mindset, nervous system regulation, and subconscious reprogramming, I finally understood that many of these behaviours are common signs of a nervous system operating in survival mode.

And while it can be hard to believe sometimes, your mind isn’t working against you.

It’s trying to protect you.

The challenge is that the patterns that once helped us survive can eventually stop us from fully living.

The good news?

What was learned can be unlearned.

Sometimes you don’t realise how exhausting it is to keep becoming who you think others need you to be.

The agreeable one.
The easygoing one.
The one who doesn’t make things difficult.

So you overthink. You adapt. You question yourself. You call it “being nice” or “just people-pleasing.”

But often, underneath all of that, is the fear that the real you might be too much, too different, or not accepted.

And no amount of confidence tips can heal a part of you that learned being yourself wasn’t safe.

3 things I had to unlearn to become a better hypnotherapist ✨
The biggest shifts weren’t about learning more techniques.
They were about learning to guide instead of advise, to trust the subconscious, and to ask questions that help clients reconnect with their own wisdom.
Because real change doesn’t come from being told who to be.
It happens when you begin to see yourself differently.

When I started building my own practice, I knew I would need to learn new things.

What I didn’t realise was how much of that learning would be internal.

Without the structure of a role, a manager, or a team around me in the same way, I’ve had to learn how to lead myself.

How to stay focused.
How to keep going when doubt appears.
How to be visible.
How to rest without guilt.
How to notice what needs to change without turning it into self-criticism.

And I’m still learning.

This is something I see so often in growth and healing too. We think we need to be harder on ourselves in order to change, but often, the opposite is true.

When we can see ourselves clearly without judgement, we create the safety needed for real change.

That’s the kind of space I believe in — one where you are supported to understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your own inner resources, and move forward in a way that feels true to you.

If you’re in your own season of growth, I hope this reminds you that you don’t have to criticise yourself into becoming better.

Anxiety often shows up in the body — shortness of breath, tightness, poor sleep, migraines, exhaustion, or that constant feeling of being on edge.

It can also look like overthinking.

And sometimes, you may not even realise these symptoms are connected to anxiety.

This can make daily life feel difficult, heavy, and overwhelming. Especially if you’ve already tried different approaches and still feel stuck.

But feeling stuck doesn’t mean you can’t heal and create change.

Anxiety is often connected to deeper subconscious patterns — emotional responses your mind and body learned in the past as a way to protect you.

RTT Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind, where these patterns are stored. We gently explore the root cause, release old emotional associations, and help the mind create new, calmer responses.

It’s not about forcing yourself to “think positive.”
It’s about helping your mind and body feel safe enough to respond differently.

Some stress doesn’t speak in words.
It shows up in what you carry.
In the tight jaw, clenched hands, heavy chest. Or unsettled stomach.
Your body often tells the truth long before your mind has the words for it.
And while rest, holidays, and “switching off” can help in the short term, they don’t always reach the deeper pattern underneath.
Because sometimes the tension isn’t just about being tired.
Sometimes it’s about your hidden pressure.
The subconscious patterns can build quietly in the background until something triggers them and suddenly the body starts carrying what the mind has been trying to manage.
Noticing is the first step to choosing something different.
Because you can’t heal what you don’t allow yourself to feel.
This isn’t about diagnosing your body.
It’s about listening with curiosity.
Your body may be holding a story.
The question is: are you ready to hear what it’s been trying to say?
