We debated whether to post this. Then we decided — nah, let's make you sweat a little. 😅

Tomorrow marks 10 years of Lilly Cosmetic & Beauty. TEN. A decade of needles, glow-ups, laughs in the treatment room, and clients who became family.
Ten years ago this started as a dream in a much smaller room, with a much smaller team, and a whole lot of hope. Somewhere between then and now, it became a whole community — you, our clients, our team, our people.

That “squeaky clean” feeling? Your skin might actually be asking you to STOP. 👀

Because sometimes the makeup isn’t the problem.

Dehydration, an impaired skin barrier, over-exfoliation, dead skin build-up or even the products underneath your makeup can completely change the way foundation sits on your face.

And yes — oily skin can still be dehydrated.

Yesterday didn't go to plan. Here's what happened (and why I'm still smiling) 👇

Real talk from yesterday 🎗️

Some days treatment doesn't go exactly to plan — and that's okay to say out loud. Yesterday I wasn't able to have my full chemo protocol. The two chemo drugs got put on hold, and I could only go ahead with my targeted therapy, or sometimes known as immunity boosters (Herceptin).

Why? My hemoglobin was too low. Hemoglobin is the protein in your red blood cells that carries oxygen around your body — it's basically your body's delivery system for energy. When it drops too low, your body doesn't have the reserves to safely handle chemo, so treatment gets paused until it's back in a safer range.
We're now working out why it dropped, and it's likely I'll need an iron infusion or a blood transfusion to get things back on track. The chemo will resume once we're there. It's a detour, not a stop sign — and I wanted to share it because so many of you have walked (or are walking) similar roads, and honesty is kind of my whole thing 💛

Now — onto something that has me buzzing 🎉
