Over the last 17 years as a practitioner, so much of my work has been in the paediatric epilepsy space 👏🏼
I’ve been incredibly lucky to learn from and connect with some amazing practitioners along the way, people who have inspired me, supported me and shaped the way I practice today.
And when my own daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy… I had to practice what I preached.
It was one of the hardest seasons of my life, and I honestly don’t know how I would have navigated it without the incredible community of practitioners around me.
Last year, after being made redundant twice, I really questioned my place in this profession.
I found myself asking:
1️⃣ What is my legacy?
2️⃣ What can I create from all of these years of experience, connection and learning?
And that’s how Paediatrics in Practice was born.
I reached out to the practitioners I admire most.
The people I’ve collaborated with, learnt from and respected for years, and asked them to be part of this vision.
And I’m so proud they said yes.
Now, we have this beautiful, collaborative, clinically-focused paediatric event coming to Sydney this June.
More than anything, I wanted to create a space where practitioners feel inspired, supported and part of something bigger than themselves.
Because this work can feel lonely when we’re all sitting in clinic in silos.
