Happy Global Day of Parents! This year’s theme, “Together for Parents,” reminds us that every parent and caregiver deserves support, understanding and, most importantly, to belong to a community.

At Lifestart, we’ve been supporting parents for thirty years, helping their kids thrive and get the start to life they deserve. It's our birthday! Lifestart was founded in 1996 by four families seeking better support for their children. This year, we proudly celebrate the 30th anniversary of that pivotal moment - and how much the organisation has grown since! Meet some of our founders and hear their inspirational story in this video.

It is a story that is important to us because it's a powerful reminder of why Lifestart is a disability support service with lived experience at its heart - because it always has been from the very beginning.

And as we look ahead to a changing landscape of how children and young people in Australia are supported, we know Lifestart will find new and innovative ways to provide the very best care for our families, long into the future - because we always have.
