📢 King’s Birthday Long Weekend Reminder

A quick reminder that Rainbow Club classes will continue as scheduled across the King’s Birthday long weekend.

We look forward to seeing our members in the pool, continuing to build swimming and water safety skills, confidence and independence.

Please attend your usual class time unless you have been advised otherwise by your local club. Remember if you are unable to make your lesson please mark absent in your parent portal so your local teacher knows you will not be there.

See you at Rainbow Club this weekend! đź’™

Many families tell us that Rainbow Club is the first place where their child truly feels they belong.

But recent NDIS funding changes are making it harder for some families to afford the specialised swimming lessons their children rely on.

đź’™ Donate today: https://safeinthewater.gofundraise.com.au/

This EOFY, we're asking our community to help keep children with disability safe in the water and ensure families can continue accessing the support they need.
Every donation helps keep specialised swimming lessons affordable and accessible for children across Australia.

Because every child deserves the chance to learn, grow and belong.

A busy day at Kensington Rainbow Club today filming as part of our new collaboration with Nundies.

It was wonderful to see our members developing their water safety and swimming skills, and hearing families share their Rainbow Club experiences. We may have even discovered a few future stars during the interviews!

Thank you to all the families who took part and to our Kensington team for making the day such a success. A special thank you to Lead Teacher Ariel for helping coordinate everything behind the scenes.

We can’t wait to see the finished production.

From volunteer to teacher đź’™

As we celebrate National Volunteer Month, we’re proud to recognise amazing young people like Ebba, who first joined Rainbow Club through her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Medallion in May 2024, volunteering poolside and supporting our members each week.

After completing our Train to Teach (TTT) course and undertaking her practical training with Rainbow Club, Ebba is now officially part of the teaching team at Warringah.

It’s always fantastic to see young volunteers grow in confidence, develop new skills and continue their journey within Rainbow Club. Pathways like our TTT program help support the next generation of inclusive swim teachers and strengthen our community for years to come.

Today on International Families Day, we celebrate all the families that make up the Rainbow Club community.

From the families of our members, to the families of our teachers and staff, and the many friendships and support networks built poolside each week, Rainbow Club is made stronger by the people who come together to support one another.

This year’s theme, “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing”, highlights the importance of connection, inclusion and creating communities where every child feels valued and supported.

At Rainbow Club, we see every day how powerful that sense of belonging can be.

A great start to the new Active Moves North Sydney program over the weekend!

A big thank you to Katherine, our Lead Teacher, for promoting the program across the local clubs and helping everything run smoothly on the day.

Adrian, our Exercise Physiologist, completed member assessments and mentored new teachers, while supporting participants through their exercises. It was also great to see interest from several Swim the Rainbow members looking to transition into the the program.

We’re excited to continue growing Active Moves North Sydney as the team expands.
