👋 Meet Natalia, Rostering Officer at Gold Care Home Services

Natalia joined Gold Care just 5 months ago and plays an important role in coordinating our services and ensuring clients receive the support they need. From matching clients with suitable Support Workers to managing schedule changes and communicating with providers and our care team, Natalia helps keep services covered and running as smoothly as possible.

What Natalia enjoys most about her role is being part of a supportive team and the challenge of finding solutions, particularly on those extra busy days! She finds it incredibly rewarding bringing everything together so that our clients receive the care and support they need.

Outside of work, Natalia loves spending time with her husband and daughter, travelling, discovering new places and catching up with family and friends.

Fun fact: Natalia is Colombian, and says that music and dancing are a big part of her life. She loves salsa, and when there's good music playing, she finds it very hard to stay still! 💃

We're so glad to have Natalia's positivity, problem-solving skills and dedication as part of the Gold Care team. 💛

A great afternoon of learning at Care Home Services! 💙

Today we hosted an in-house "Assist Clients with Medication" training session, delivered by Registered Training Organisation Smarter Skills, right here at our new office.

It was fantastic to welcome a group of our Support Workers for some valuable hands-on learning, building their knowledge, confidence and skills to continue providing safe, high-quality support to our clients.

A big thank you to Lesley Jones and Steve Hiscocks for facilitating today’s session and sharing their knowledge with our team.

And it was especially nice to put our new office meeting room to good use...although we’ve now discovered exactly how many people we can squeeze into it! 😆

Elder abuse isn’t always obvious and it doesn’t always leave a visible injury.

Sometimes, the first signs are subtle: a change in behaviour, unpaid bills, increasing isolation, unexplained drowsiness or another person speaking on an older person’s behalf.

Our latest article, Hidden in Plain Sight: Recognising the Everyday Signs of Elder Abuse, explores what to look for, why patterns matter and how to respond respectfully when something doesn’t feel right.

Noticing a change isn’t the same as making an accusation. It’s about remaining attentive, protecting an older person’s voice and taking genuine concerns seriously.
