Welcome, Ani! 🎉
Ani has joined OCRG to work on the ovarian cancer early detection project. She brings extensive experience as a Senior Research Scientist and joins us from the Children’s Cancer Institute. Ani has an impressive background in molecular biology and genomics, having worked across leading institutes including the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, and Neuroscience Research Australia. Her work has spanned the Human Genome Project, genetic testing for childhood leukaemia, and research into neurodegeneration.
We’re thrilled to have Ani bring her wealth of knowledge and expertise to the project!

With some recent changes to our group we wanted to take the opportunity to reintroduce ourselves đź’›

Starting with Dr Kristina Warton, Senior Research Fellow at UNSW Medicine & Health and the lead of our ovarian cancer early detection project. Kristina has long been at the heart of this work, bringing extensive experience in molecular science, translational research and biotechnology. She leads the development of a simple blood test aimed at detecting ovarian cancer earlier, when outcomes can be significantly improved, and is driven by a commitment to translating research into meaningful impact for people and communities affected by ovarian cancer.

We’re so excited to kick off the new year by introducing OCRG – the Ovarian Cancer Research Group.

Our team is pleased to continue the Ovarian Cancer Early Detection project as part of the UNSW Ovarian Cancer Research Group, led by Dr Kristina Warton.
