As we get older, it's normal to notice some changes, such as slower movement, a bit more fatigue, and maybe less balance. But regular exercise can slow down or even reverse those effects.

Older adults who moved regularly were up to 60% less likely to become frail. Their blood pressure dropped, arteries became more flexible, and their hearts pumped more efficiently.

Muscle strength and walking speed, two key signs of independence, also improved, sometimes by as much as 45%.

💪 👀 A longitudinal study shows that older adults lose between 8.5% and 8.8% of their leg muscle power approximately every three years.

In healthy adults, this critical power loss can occur even while muscle size and absolute strength remain relatively stable.

Last week marked an unforgettable milestone for Wini Health. Thanks to the support of AUSactive, our co-founders Leigh Sherry and Natasha Lee were invited to present and showcase our work at Parliament House in Canberra.

It was an incredible honour to stand alongside national leaders and sector advocates to highlight the importance of accessible, age-friendly digital health solutions and the role technology can play in helping older Australians live longer, healthier lives.

The opportunity to share Wini Health’s mission at a national level is both humbling and energising. It reflects the growing recognition that supporting healthy ageing is not just a health priority, but a national priority.
