First Nations disability consultation:

We'd like to invite Northcott customers and the broader First Nations community to attend the upcoming First Nations disability consultation.

Location: Northcott Campbelltown, Level 5, 6-8 Dumaresq Street, Campbelltown
Date: Tuesday 27th October
Time: 10am

The consultation is an important opportunity for First Nations people with disability to share their lived experiences, highlight barriers and challenges, and contribute to shaping future disability services and supports.

Northcott's First Nations Program Adviser Dylan Wilson will be facilitating the consultation.

All eligible First Nations participants aged 18 and over who participate in the consultation will receive a $145 gift card in recognition of their time and valuable contributions.

New Supported Independent Living (SIL) Practice Standards came into effect in July 2026, setting clearer expectations for high-quality, person-centred support.

At Northcott, we've reviewed our SIL services to ensure we continue providing safe, respectful and empowering support. As part of this work, we're developing more Easy Read resources, improving customer information, updating staff training, and strengthening the ways we support informed choice and decision-making.

These improvements will help customers better understand their rights, options and services while ensuring our supports remain focused on individual needs and goals.

Parramatta Life Skills and Work and Study organised a market day. Amazing food including delicious sandwiches, sushi, coffee, desserts and much more were available. The team also made arts and craft for sale, and plants they had propagated.

Delivered by Northcott counsellors, these interactive workshops support young people to navigate puberty with confidence. Participants learn about body changes, emotions, identity, friendships, boundaries and personal safety in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Online workshops are available for young people aged 12-15 years.
