If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d voluntarily go for a run as part of my Hyrox training, I probably would’ve laughed.
Running was never “my thing.”
But somewhere along the way, I stopped focusing on being good at it and started focusing on what it was teaching me.
To keep going when things feel uncomfortable. To trust the process when progress feels slow. To put one foot in front of the other, even on the days I don’t feel like it.
Because confidence doesn’t come before you start.
It comes from showing up.
One run.
One step.
One early morning.
One tough session.
Over and over again.
Some runs are solo. Some are with my amazing Hyrox doubles partner,
Some feel strong. Some feel like a struggle.
But every run reminds me that fitness isn’t about perfection- it’s about showing up, even when it feels hard.
As a busy mum, business owner, and woman in my 40s, I don’t run to punish my body. I run because I’m grateful for what my body can do.
This journey has been less about pace and more about proving to myself that I can do hard things.
And that lesson carries into motherhood, business, relationships, and life.
Here’s to embracing new challenges, building resilience, and reminding ourselves that we’re capable of more than we think.
Happy Global Running Day!🏃♀️✨
