We are away for the cosmos to know itself - Carl Sagan ✨

A whole universe across the back. 🪐

I created this full galaxy-themed back piece using layers of planets, stars, nebulae and deep-space textures, with subtle UV details running throughout the entire design.

The UV was deliberately kept selective — tiny stars, planetary rings and flashes of colour hidden amongst the black & grey, so it doesn’t take over the piece in daylight.

Then the blacklight hits… and an entirely different universe reveals itself. 🌌✨

ACID WINGS 🦋✨

A trippy, acid-inspired dragonfly brought to life with a mix of different UV-coloured inks 🦋🌈

I wanted this one to feel almost psychedelic — flowing shapes, electric colour and that chaotic neon energy running through the wings.

The best part? These UV pigments aren’t invisible in normal light. The colours are still visible in daylight, then completely transform and intensify under blacklight UV.

Definitely one of those pieces that hits completely different when the lights change. 🔥

“LOVE YOURS” 🧡⚡

A little reminder in a place you wouldn’t expect it.

I tattooed “Love Yours” flowing down the neck in vivid orange UV ink — designed to light up intensely under blacklight, while still showing that fiery orange in normal daylight.

Small. Delicate. Different. And definitely not one you see every day. 🔥

My client wanted angel wings — but with something a little different.

I created these wings to stretch across both shoulders and flow down each arm, then worked blue UV ink through the feathers to give them another dimension entirely.

Unlike invisible UV, this particular blue pigment is visible in daylight, giving the wings those subtle electric-blue accents normally — then under blacklight UV, they come alive. 🪽💙

THE PROPOSAL SHE NEVER SAW COMING 💍✨

This one was pretty special.

A client of mine, who I now consider a good friend, came to me with an idea to help her propose to her now wife in a way she’d never see coming.

The plan was to tattoo “MARRY ME?” across her back using invisible UV ink — completely hidden in normal light, waiting for the right moment to be revealed under blacklight.

She then whisked her away on holiday to Hawaii, and on the big night, the hidden message was finally revealed… 💍🌴

Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever been asked to be a part of. A tattoo, a secret proposal and a memory they’ll have forever.

A LITTLE HEART, A BIG MEMORY ✨🤍

A pretty special way to finish off my little brother’s wedding celebrations.

To mark the day properly, I tattooed the wedding party with something they could all carry away with them.

The bride and groom had their wedding date tattooed in UV, while all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen got these tiny UV love hearts. 💘

Simple little tattoos, but all tied to the same day and the same memories.

Barely noticeable in normal light… then under blacklight UV, they completely come alive. ❤️‍🔥

Such a cool way to end an unreal wedding and give everyone a permanent little reminder of the day.

THE EYES GIVE IT AWAY 👁️🐺💙

A full realism piece built around time, instinct and intensity — then I added a subtle UV twist to completely change the feel under blacklight.

The glowing blue eyes on both the woman and the wolf are done with UV ink, giving the whole piece another dimension when the lights change.

I love using UV like this — not overpowering the tattoo, just picking out those small details that make it hit completely differently under blacklight.

✨ A CORE MEMORY, MADE PERMANENT ✨

The original Jasmine and Rajah tattoo was done by another artist, but I got to add something really personal to finish this piece off.

My clients daughter absolutely loves Jasmine, and meeting her at Disney World became one of those core memories they’ll never forget. ❤️

So I recreated Jasmine’s actual signature from the day they met her and tattooed it in UV, along with UV sparkles scattered throughout the original piece. ✨

In normal light the additions are subtle, but under blacklight UV, the sparkles and Jasmine’s signature come to life.

I absolutely love the meaning behind this one. Taking one of his daughter’s favourite memories and turning it into something her dad can carry with him forever. 🥹✨
