The diagnosis helped.

Finally having a name for it. Understanding why your brain works the way it does. The relief of knowing you were not broken. Just wired differently.

And then you went back to your life.

And the exhaustion was still there.

I was not looking for a transformation.

I was just desperate.

37 years old. Late diagnosed ADHD. Two kids. Running on empty. Holding it together on the outside and completely falling apart on the inside.

Someone mentioned breathwork. I thought it sounded a bit out there.

But I was out of options.

So I tried it once.

And I came out of that session feeling physically different in a way I had never felt before. Not because I understood something new. Because my body finally got a signal it had been waiting for my whole life.

That it was safe.

But I stopped dreading the next day.
