1,000 members strong 💙

Our BetterCareMarket Dementia Support Group has reached 1,000 members, and we just want to say thank you.

We created this group to give people living with dementia, carers and families a kind space to feel supported, ask questions, share practical tips and connect with others who understand.

Every comment, shared experience and helpful message has helped make this community what it is.

Thank you to everyone who has joined and helped create a supportive space for others.

If you or someone you care for would like to join, you can visit the group here:

June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

Bowel cancer is Australia’s second deadliest cancer, but early detection can make a real difference. This month is a reminder to learn the signs, pay attention to changes in your body, keep up with screening when eligible, and speak to your GP if something does not feel right.

Awareness, early action and regular screening can help save lives and support those impacted by bowel cancer.

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re taking time to reflect on the 2026 theme, All In. 🖤☀️❤️

Reconciliation is something we all have a role in. It starts with listening, learning, showing respect and taking meaningful action towards a more inclusive future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At BetterCareMarket, we believe everyone deserves dignity, support, independence and fair access to healthcare.

Reconciliation is not something we watch from the sidelines. It takes all of us, every day.

Myth or Truth Busters: Osteoporosis Edition

Myth: If you don’t feel pain, your bones must be fine.

Truth: Osteoporosis can be silent.

Many people do not realise they have osteoporosis until they break a bone after a fall, bump or everyday movement.

That is why regular bone health checks are so important, especially if you have risk factors such as menopause, family history, low vitamin D, previous fractures, balance concerns or long-term steroid use.

If you are unsure about your bone health, speak with your GP or healthcare professional. They can help you understand your risk and whether a bone density test may be right for you.

A small check today could help protect your mobility, confidence and independence tomorrow.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a reminder that digital access matters.

When online spaces are easier to read, navigate, watch and understand, people with disability can stay more connected, informed and independent.

At BetterCareMarket, we care about creating a more accessible experience for people with disability, carers, families and healthcare professionals.

Small changes can make a real difference, both online and at home.

We created this group to give people living with osteoporosis, carers and families a safe and supportive place to share information, ask questions and learn from each other.

As the group grows, we do our best to remove scammy posts, spam, suspicious links and unreliable product claims, so members can feel more confident in the information shared here.

We are sharing these product links so members have a reliable and trustworthy place to access practical support products for safer daily living, comfort, mobility and independence.

There is no pressure to purchase. We simply wanted to share this with the community in case it helps you or someone you care for.

Please choose products based on your own needs, and speak with your GP, physio or health professional if you are unsure.

This week, from 18 to 24 May 2026, we celebrate volunteers who help build stronger, kinder communities.

National Volunteer Week is a reminder that small acts of support can make a big difference. Helping a neighbour, checking in on someone, supporting a local group, or giving your time to a cause can help people feel more connected, safe and supported.

Thank you to everyone who gives their time to help others.

5 Small Ways to Make Care at Home Easier.

Caring at home can feel easier when the space is set up to support comfort, safety, and independence.

Here are 5 small changes that can help with daily routines:

1. Keep everyday items within easy reach.
Place daily essentials where they are simple to see, reach, and use.

2. Make the bathroom safer
Bathroom Aids like grab rails, shower stools, non-slip mats, and raised toilet seats can support safer daily routines.

3. Support steady movement
Walking Aids can help make moving around the home feel easier and more secure.

4. Create a simple care routine
Keep supplies, medications, and care notes in one easy-to-access place.

5. Choose small aids that make a big difference
Daily Living Aids like reaching aids and jar openers can help make everyday care more manageable.

Small changes can make a real difference for NDIS participants, carers, older Australians, and families supporting someone at home.

For personalised advice, speak with a qualified health professional.

Explore practical home care products at Bettercaremarket.com.au, your Registered NDIS Provider.

Happy International Nurses Day.

Today we celebrate the nurses who care for patients, families, and carers with kindness, skill, and dedication.

12 May honours the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who helped shape modern nursing.

According to NSW Health, nurses are the largest workforce group in NSW Health, and they play such an important role in supporting people through every stage of care.

To every nurse, thank you for the comfort, care, and support you give every day.

World Red Cross Day

Today on the 8th of May, we thank the people behind the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.

Across the world, staff and volunteers support people during emergencies, disasters, illness, isolation, and difficult times.

Their local acts of kindness can have a global impact.

Today, we recognise every Red Cross and Red Crescent worker and volunteer making a difference in their community and around the world.
