We can gently support ourselves back into balance with a simple one-minute neck and shoulder release. Take a breath in and lift your shoulders as high as they’ll go, all the way to your ears, holding that squeeze and your breath for a moment.

As you breathe out, let your shoulders drop and feel the release of that tension. We can do this a few times, perhaps closing our eyes, to help our nervous system settle. It’s a small, steady way to reconnect with your body throughout the day whenever you need a little more space.

It’s really common for society to expect you to simply carry on as usual, managing work and family while growing a life alongside it all. But pregnancy is a significant season all by itself; your body is using immense energy to support every system that is affected by this growth.

We need to remove the pressure to be constantly productive, especially during the shifts of the first and third trimesters.
By saying no to the hustle, we create the space your body is actually asking for.
