O'Neill & Pross Physiotherapy has been a leading practice in physical therapies since the 60's and is iconical across the peninsular. We have seen changes take place in the array of conditions treated but the one thing that has remained consistent is our hands on appr

oach. We use the latest scenar technology along with acupuncture and dry needling. Our gym contains gravity strength machines in which we incorporate fitness training and exercise prescription with take home pictures and text. We treat foot and leg pain with customised prescription orthotics along with video analysis of running techniques with slow motion feedback. We have post graduate training in spinal analysis and manipulation, as well as postural analysis and alignment. With over 30 years experience we have the ability to treat a wide variety of conditions.

Doesn't this image alone give you a sense of relief, or pain.
Either way... This is probably the most beneficial way to release tight glutes.
And tight glutes is what we do...

The Knee to Wall Test πŸ‘£

A simple way to check ankle mobility β€” and a great exercise to improve it too!

This movement helps improve ankle range of motion, which is important for walking, running, squatting, jumping, and reducing strain on the knees and calves.

Try keeping your heel flat on the floor while gently driving your knee toward the wall. Over time, gradually increase the distance from your toes to the wall as your mobility improves.

A great and simple exercise to get started on in your first 'step' of ankle recovery (see what I did there) πŸ™Œ

It can be a good option if the boot is not 100% required, or when transitioning out of the boot and back to normal activity.

Tape to the ankle can be either rigid or K-Tape, but best to ask your Physio's advice as to what might work better for you.

Sever's disease is a common cause of heel pain in active kids, especially during growth spurts.

It happens when the growth plate at the back of the heel becomes irritated from repeated stress, often with running and jumping sports.

The good news is it can be manageable with the right care. (Ie. Physio advice, possible orthotics, muscle release)
