The golden hour. Sixty minutes that most people know nothing about until they are in the middle of them. 🧡

What happens in the hour immediately after your baby arrives has a profound impact on bonding, breastfeeding, and your baby's transition into the world. And knowing what is possible, and what to ask for, before you are in that moment changes everything.

Swipe through for your complete guide to the golden hour after birth. From skin to skin and delayed cord clamping through to your baby's first feed and the delivery of your placenta.

This is the part of birth education most courses leave out entirely. Save this one and come back to it. 🧡

We are not okay. 🤣🧡

One of our Born Ready mummas has been rewatching the course content with her little boy while preparing for her second baby. She is also a physio, so yes, there is a pelvis model casually living in the house.

She just sent us this photo from her son's room.

Apparently he has been paying very close attention. 👀

This is honestly the greatest thing we have ever been sent and we are framing it.

To every tiny future physiotherapist out there, we see you. Born Ready starts young. 🧡

Women's Health Week 2026. And this year's theme could not feel more relevant to what we do. 🧡

Do it anyway.

Not when you feel completely ready. Not when the timing is perfect. Not when the fear has fully gone away. Just take the small, realistic step. And do it anyway.

We talk to pregnant people every single day who have been putting off birth preparation.

Waiting until they feel less busy. Waiting until they feel less scared. Waiting until they know more about what to expect.

And what we always say is this.

The preparation is exactly what helps with all of that.

Saying yes to the Born Ready course when you are nervous about birth is doing it anyway. Booking the workshop when you are not sure you are ready is doing it anyway. Showing up, getting on the floor, asking the questions you have been too afraid to ask out loud. All of it is doing it anyway.

Small, realistic steps. That is all it takes. And every single one of them builds the confidence you are looking for.

This Women's Health Week we want to remind you that you do not need to feel ready to start preparing. You just need to start. 🧡

To every birth partner showing up for the person they love. Happy Father's Day. 🧡

You may not be the one giving birth. But you are one of the most important people in that room.

The way you show up, the way you advocate, the way you hold space when things get intense, it matters more than you will ever fully know.

At Born Ready we believe birth partners deserve to feel just as prepared as the person giving birth. Because when you know what to do, when you have practised the positions and the breathing cues and the pressure points, you stop feeling helpless and start feeling like exactly what your person needs you to be.

An anchor. A voice. A steady hand.

Happy Father's Day to every partner who chose to prepare. You are already showing up in the best possible way. 🧡

Birth partners, this one is for you. Save it, screenshot it, and go through it together before your due date. 🧡

Being prepared is not about having all the answers. It is about knowing what to do with the information you have, staying calm when things shift, and showing up as the anchor your person needs you to be.

Great question. And one we get asked a lot. 🧡

Most antenatal classes give you information. Born Ready gives you preparation.

Here is what makes us different.

Our course is led by pelvic health physiotherapists who understand the physical demands of birth at a clinical level. It is evidence-based, not fear-based. And it covers everything from the hormones of labour and pain management strategies, through to pushing technique, pelvic floor care, and postpartum recovery.

But the biggest difference is the practical workshop.

You do not just sit in a room and listen. You get on the floor. You try the birth positions. Your birth partner practises supporting you through a contraction. You use a TENS machine. You feel what active birth actually means in your body, not just in your head.

Because knowing something and being able to do it when labour hits are two very different things.

Online course plus face-to-face workshop plus lifetime access. $380 all in.

Sneak Peek Friday and this week we are going inside one of the most important modules in the Born Ready course. 🧡

Preparing your body for birth. Starting with your pelvic floor.

And before you switch off because you have heard the kegel talk a thousand times, we promise this is different.

Because here is what most people are never told.

Your pelvic floor does not just need to be strong. It needs to be able to fully relax, lengthen, and release. A pelvic floor that is too tight can actually make labour harder, slow progress, and increase the risk of tearing.

Strengthening is only half the work. The other half is learning how to completely let go.

In this module we cover exactly how to contract and release your pelvic floor correctly, how to know whether you are doing it right, why relaxation is just as important as strength, and how to prepare your pelvic floor specifically for the demands of birth and recovery.

This is the kind of education that makes a real difference on the day and in the weeks that follow.

This is what it feels like to be supported. 🧡

Two hands. One on each side. Holding her steady while she finds her footing, literally and figuratively.

This image captures something we think about a lot at Born Ready. Birth is not something you do alone. It is something you do with people around you who know what they are doing and genuinely care about your outcome.

A birth partner who has been prepared. A physiotherapist who has given you the tools. A community that has your back.

That combination changes everything about how you walk into labour and how you walk out the other side.

This is what we are building with every course, every workshop, and every couple who chooses to show up prepared.
