It reminded me just how proud and passionate I am to be working with School for Life 🌸💕

After previously owning my own business, I understand the drive, resilience and determination it takes to turn an idea into something meaningful. But I’ve also come to realise that success is about so much more than what we build for ourselves, it’s about the difference we can help create for others.

Listening to Annabelle share the journey from a bold idea to an organisation now changing thousands of lives, has left me feeling even more inspired to connect people and businesses with opportunities to create lasting impact.

This isn’t just a job for me. It’s a purpose I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of. 🧡

Today we were at Centennial Vineyards Restaurant with The Bookshop Bowral & Kiama for the launch of Annabelle Chauncy book, School for Life Foundation School for Life.

And it was really special being able to take my daughter jas with me and having her hear Annabelle’s story for herself. ❤️

To hear about the journey School for Life has been on, and the courage and determination Annabelle had from such a young age to turn an idea into something that is now changing thousands of lives, was incredibly powerful.

I loved watching Jasmine listen and take it all in. As a mum, there’s something quite emotional about your daughter hearing firsthand what can happen when someone believes deeply in a purpose and has the courage to follow it.

A beautiful reminder that we never really know what might inspire the next generation, sometimes it’s simply hearing someone else’s story and realising what is possible. ❤️

So proud to be part of this journey, and even more special to share a little piece of it with my girl today. 🌸💕

That smile says it all. ❤️

One of the things I love most about working at School for Life Foundation is being surrounded by people who genuinely believe in what they do.

Last week, seeing Annabelle Chauncy OAM with that huge smile, signing copies of her book and sharing the story behind School for Life, was one of those moments that made me stop and feel incredibly grateful for where I work.

What started with a belief that education could change a child’s future has grown into something that is changing thousands of lives.

I feel very lucky to work alongside Annabelle and a team that cares so deeply about the children and communities we serve in Uganda.

It’s more than a job for me. It’s work that has purpose, and I get to see every day what can happen when people come together and believe that change is possible.

So proud to be a small part of this story….and there is still so much more to come.🧡

It’s taken me a couple of days to reflect on two incredible days at Global Impact Summit this week and I’m still feeling very full-hearted (and with a very full notebook!) 💕🌸

There’s something pretty special about being surrounded by people who genuinely want to make a difference….sharing ideas, challenging thinking and reminding each other why this work matters.

Even better was experiencing it alongside so many of our School for Life Foundation team.

There were so many moments that challenged my thinking, sparked new ideas and reminded me just how much we can learn from one another. And, as always, some of the best moments happened in the conversations in between….reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new ones and hearing what drives people to do the work they do.

One line I keep coming back to: 💡

“Trust is still built by human relationships, one at a time. What has changed is how far it can travel.”

There’s so much to reflect on around impact, storytelling, leadership and belonging, but perhaps the biggest reminder was also the simplest….
Impact starts with people. With connection. With trust. And with the relationships we build along the way.

A huge thank you to Mike Gore Jocelyn and James for bringing together such an inspiring group of people and creating the space for these conversations, connections and ideas to happen.

Feeling incredibly grateful for the learning, the new people I met, the familiar faces I got to reconnect with, and our wonderful School for Life team who shared the experience. ❤️

Two days very well spent…..and plenty of ideas, inspiration and conversations to carry forward.

Inspiring, authentic and deeply moving.

Working at School for Life Foundation , I thought I understood the journey….but after reading ‘School for Life’ the book 📕 it gave me a whole new appreciation for what it took to bring the vision to life. Annabelle Chauncy OAM shares the past 17 years with honesty….. highlighting not only the incredible impact the team at School for Life has achieved, but also the relentless determination, resilience and persistence required to overcome challenges, navigate cultural differences in Uganda and build trust every step of the way.

This book is inspiring, authentic and deeply moving. It’s a powerful reminder that lasting change doesn’t happen overnight….it takes courage, patience and an overwhelming belief in what’s possible. I loved every minute of the book and couldn’t put it down. 🌸💕 and I’m honoured to have the opportunity to play a small part in making a difference.
