Supporting social skills.

Our team recently came together for a Professional Development Day focused on practical ways to support social skills across all ages.

Led by experienced clinicians, the session explored up to date strategies for building communication confidence in children, teens and adults.

We discussed real-life scenarios from home, school and community settings and shared tools for helping clients understand social cues, interact with peers and build on conversations.

We value ongoing learning and shared reflection, so days like this help us provide flexible and thoughtful care for every client working towards their own social connection goals.

Thank you to all who participated in our PD Day.

Understanding speech delays.

Speech and language delays are common and can happen for many reasons, including hearing, developmental, or environmental factors.

A speech delay might look like:

▫️ Using fewer words compared to peers

▫️ Putting words together later than expected

▫️ Speech that is difficult to understand, even for family

Our therapists work with families to find out what is helping and what is getting in the way of communication.

Building on strengths and finding strategies that are easy to use during daily routines.

Take their word for it.

Our online course, Building Language Skills in Toddlers, is built for parents and educators.

Hear from our reviews:

“As a dad, I always talked and played with my toddler, but this course helped me notice more opportunities to build my child’s language.

The 10 practical tips were easy to use during bath time, reading together, and even when shopping for groceries.

Since I started modeling more words and giving my child time to respond, I’ve seen real progress in understanding and vocabulary.

The support and confidence I gained made a big difference in our daily routines.

I’d recommend this course to any parent who wants to feel more equipped.” - Father of a 2-year-old.
