Congratulations to our Client of the Week, Wendy! This week we’re celebrating Wendy and an incredible achievement in her health and fitness journey!

After breaking her hip a couple of years ago, Wendy was diagnosed with osteoporosis and referred to the Royal North Shore osteoporosis re-fracture prevention clinic. Alongside treatment, calcium and vitamin D supplementation, she was encouraged to participate in regular weight-bearing, resistance and impact exercise.

Fast forward to this week, and Wendy had an amazing result from her latest bone density scan, her bone density had improved dramatically, with several areas moving from the osteoporosis range, through osteopenia and out the other side! 🎉

We couldn’t be happier to see her hard work paying off. Wendy is a fantastic example of why strength training is about so much more than building muscle. It can play an incredibly important role in maintaining strong, healthy bones as we age.

Congratulations, Wendy! And Ismael… keep putting those weights up! 💪

Congratulations to Jonathan Englert, Mel Donohoe and Dave Grant for joining the 40,000 runners that did the iconic Sydney Marathon on Sunday!

Training for these events is a huge investment in time and effort and to even be able to stand at the start line is a testament to their commitment and perseverance to their training. They all ran amazingly and can be super proud of themselves! Well done.

🎯 Coordination is trainable. Your nervous system becomes more efficient at coordinating movement with practice, which is one reason exercises can feel dramatically easier after a few weeks.

🦴 Bone is living tissue. Resistance and impact-based exercise can provide mechanical loading that helps support bone health.

⚖️ Your body weight can fluctuate significantly from day to day. Changes in hydration, food volume, glycogen and sodium can move the scale without representing changes in body fat.

We love to support local talent and this art exhibition by Pip is guaranteed to leave you in awe of her talent.
Pip’s second solo art exhibition in Mosman, Awe + Wonder, features a collection of original oil paintings inspired by the beauty of the marine world. But behind the exhibition is a bigger story about what can happen when art, business and community come together.

Awe + Wonder runs in Mosman from 25 August to 8 September at Harbourside Church, Melrose Street Mosman.

Congratulations to our Client of the Week: Alex Seja! 🏆

Alex has been slowly and methodically working on his running for a while. And alongside his strength work, has made amazing improvements.

After doing the Mini Mos in June, he has been increasing his weekly running volume in preparation for the Bondi to Manly relay in October. On Sunday he completed the Beach2Beach half marathon and quietly managed to do a very impressive time (on a course that throws a few hills in!).

Alex is a regular at Saturday run club (he’ll tell you he’s just there for the post run coffee and chats!). And has a fantastic attitude to chipping away at his goals. We are very impressed! Well done Alex!

Shout out to Jane Davies who also did the Beach2Beach half marathon!
