He looked nothing like a cowboy… and that was exactly the point. 🤠
Before Terence Hill became one of the most beloved faces of the Western comedy, he played **Sir Thomas Moore** in *Man of the East* (1972).
Thomas arrives in the American West as a refined English gentleman — more comfortable with a bicycle and poetry than a horse and six-shooter. But his late father left behind one final request: **turn his son into a real cowboy.**
That job falls to three of his father’s old friends: Bull, Holy Joe, and Monkey.
What follows is one of Terence Hill’s most unusual Western adventures — filled with failed cowboy lessons, fistfights, romance, horses, and plenty of comedy.

This wasn’t the usual dusty American desert. Much of the film was shot around **Plitvice Lakes in what was then Yugoslavia**, now Croatia, giving the movie a breathtaking mountain-and-lake backdrop.
