I didn’t realise how much I needed this until it arrived.
Living remotely has taught me a lot about myself.
It’s taught me resilience.
Independence.
How to build a life in places I never imagined I’d call home.
But it has also taught me how lonely it can feel sometimes.
The kind of loneliness that isn’t about being alone.
It’s about missing the people who know you.
The people who remember your stories.
Your quirks.
Your favourite coffee order.
The version of you that existed before this chapter began.
Then this arrived.
A letter from London.
A reminder that distance doesn’t mean disconnection.
That while life has taken us in different directions, the people who matter still think about you when you’re not there.
And if you’ve ever lived far from home, you’ll understand this feeling.
The nostalgia.
The gratitude.
The lump in your throat you weren’t expecting.
Because sometimes all it takes is one thoughtful gesture to remind you that you’ve never really been forgotten at all. ❤️
