🎉An exciting next chapter for Positive Partnerships, strengthening support for educators and families across Australia.

We are pleased to announce that Aspect is the successful tenderer for Phase 5 of the Australian Government’s Positive Partnerships program, which will operate from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029.

Positive Partnerships provides high quality, evidence-informed workshops and resources for families and educators. While our commitment to excellence and focus on outcomes remain the same, this new phase brings exciting opportunities to strengthen how we engage and support educators and families working with and supporting school-aged Autistic children and young people. We look forward to continuing to strengthen partnerships between home and school.

For updates on the program, you can subscribe to the Positive Partnerships mailing list on our website and follow our social media accounts.

In this webinar, Dr Mel Heyworth from Reframing Autism provided a broad overview of Autistic parenting, while Dr Chris Edwards from the Aspect Research Centre for Autism Practice shared new, co-produced research focused specifically on Autistic fatherhood, an area that has been largely overlooked.

This webinar is ideal for Autistic adults and parents, families, researchers, professionals, and anyone interested in inclusive, research-informed perspectives.

🎤 One question: How would you describe autism in the arts in one word?

Here’s what guests and panellists had to say at The Art of Possibility event at the Sydney Opera House. What word would you choose?

Thank you for the Vox Pop with the amazing and other guests or panellists. 🙌

💛 Help a child like Freddie thrive in a world built for them 💛

Like every parent, Beth and I just wanted Freddie to be somewhere he could learn - and feel safe being himself.

His Aspect school is that place.

🎥 Watch the video to see what the right learning environment can make possible.

But schools that truly understand what an Autistic child needs aren’t always easy to access.
Distance. Cost. Long waiting lists. For many families, access can feel like a lottery.

And yet, as you’ll see, the power of the right education can’t be underestimated.

Right now, around 1,000 children are still waiting for a place at an Aspect school - children whose families are searching for the same support that changed everything for us.

👇 Your donation today can help open the door for another child www.aspect.org.au/freddie

Please help give more children the understanding and support they need to thrive.
