Before the chaos of the day begins, I choose to show up for myself.
Before the washing, before the cleaning, before making school lunches, before getting ready for work, and before settling in for a full day of study, I make time to move my body.
Some days that means a Run. Some days it’s Strength Training. Some days it’s CrossFit. And some days it’s a well-earned rest day, allowing my body the recovery it needs.
I’ve noticed that on the days I prioritise myself first, I feel more energetic, more focused, and better prepared for whatever the day brings. I have more patience, more capacity, and more to give.
Because when I show up for myself first, I’m better able to show up for everyone else.
✨ Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s one of the best ways to take care of the people who rely on you.
