Casual Administrative Assistant required – Equine and Animal Supplements Consultancy

Natures Farmacy is a leading Equine and Animal Nutrition and Herbal Medicine Consultancy and supplement manufacturer, located in the New England Region of NSW. We have been providing high quality, science backed, advice and Equine and animal health supplements, within Australia and internationally, for over 35 years. We are located 15km south of the Australian Equine & Livestock Event Centre in Tamworth NSW.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

You will work closely with our Nutritionist and Medical Herbalist, to provide high-quality Equine and Animal Health Supplements and Nutrition consultancy.

The position offers a flexible work arrangement with approximately 20 hours work per week carried out Monday - Thursday. Longer hours may be available from time to time, by arrangement. You will require a driver’s licence and your own transport, as we are in an easily accessible, but rural setting.

The successful applicant should have at least two years’ experience in an administrative role. You will have advanced computer skills with Microsoft 365 using Word and Excel. You will have experience developing media and marketing material and your experience with website development and editing will be an advantage.

You will work in a challenging environment that requires a high level of accuracy and mindfulness, excellent time management, and mathematical skills. You will co-ordinate stock control, maintaining client and manufacturing databases, manage order fulfilment and despatch. You will manage purchasing of materials, supervise manufacturing processes, and supervise and allocate daily work to another staff member.

You will have fantastic communication skills, use initiative, and have a proactive ‘hands on’ attitude. Your ability to work efficiently on your own, and in a small team environment will be important. Knowledge of horses, horse handling and horse nutrition would be an advantage but not essential.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
You will work closely with our Nutritionist and Medical Herbalist, to provide high-quality Equine and Animal Health Supplements.

The position offers a flexible work arrangement with approximately 16 hours work per week carried out Monday - Thursday. Longer hours may be available from time to time, by arrangement.
You will require a driver’s licence and your own transport, as we are located in an easily accessible but rural setting.

Your role will primarily involve manufacturing processes, quality control, stocktake and inventory control, material handling, with occasional heavy lifting. You will have excellent time management and mathematical skills.

Your fantastic communication skills and the ability to work efficiently on your own, and in a small team environment will be important. You will undertake other tasks from time to time including administrative office work, to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

We are seeking an organised and methodical person who uses their initiative to be proactive, and who displays a flexible ‘hands on’ approach. Experience with Windows 365 functions to produce documents in Word, Excel etc. and Website management would be helpful.

My coaching helps riders better understand their horse and the training process. so they can apply it with clarity, confidence, and feel.

All levels of horse and rider are welcome. Sessions are tailored to each individual partnership, with an emphasis on thoughtful, horse-centred training, supported by a strong focus on rider position and biomechanics.

Don’t forget your horses need to be hydrated during these hot days and if sweating they need Electrolytes to replenish lost minerals. Updated timing Our QH mare Honey (Sweet Potential ) is today 25/9 326 days in foal to Waylon (VS Code Red). The average gestation length in mares ranges from 320 to 362 days; with most mares foaling within 330-345 days. Gestation calculator says 330 days is on 29/9/2025. Honey is to bagging up and looks like a whale ! Honey’s last foal was delivered at 336 days so that’s all the help I can give you lol.
