Meet Alex πŸ‘‹

Alex is our Principal Exercise Physiologist and an all-round pretty cool bloke 😎

Not only is Alex a wealth of knowledge, but he genuinely cares about every single person he works with. He has been working alongside Maryanne for many years and understands the unique challenges that can come with an MS diagnosis.

Through every step, setback, and success, Alex has been there supporting, encouraging, and helping Maryanne continue to achieve her goals. πŸ’™

We are incredibly lucky to have passionate clinicians like Alex who go above and beyond for our community every day.

Meet Marianne πŸ’™

Marianne is an absolute gem of a person and a true inspiration to everyone around her. Despite her MS diagnosis, she never lets it define or limit her.

Every single year, Marianne takes on the May 50K to raise awareness and support for those living with Multiple Sclerosis. This year, she has set herself an incredible goal to walk over 760km! πŸ‘Ÿβœ¨

Marianne doesn’t just do this challenge for herself, but for every person who has received an MS diagnosis and for the wider MS community. Her determination, positivity, and resilience are nothing short of amazing.

Marianne is living proof that nothing is impossible, and we are so incredibly proud and honoured to have her as part of our Compass Community πŸ’™

Make sure you watch to the end! πŸ’™

Lachie has been working hard with EP Anna towards his goal of transferring independently without his sit-to-stand mechanical lifter following his SCI 2 years ago. πŸ’ͺ
Just goes to show that meaningful rehab gains can happen at any age and well beyond the initial injury.

NeuroActive group veteran Trev is up and moving on his new prosthetic thanks to APC Prosthetics and his Physio/EP team!

Six years after a fall resulting in a fractured hip, Trev has been reliant on crutches and a power chair for mobility. He is now working in the ceiling track harness with Physiotherapist Annie, building confidence, balance, and coordination to support his goal of returning to community walking.
A fantastic effort, Trev, well done! πŸ‘
