Let’s talk about premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and what you need to know.

PMDD symptoms can begin 1–2 weeks before your period and often settle after your period starts.

Common symptoms can include:
➡️ extreme or sudden mood changes
➡️ irritability, anger, or conflict with others
➡️ feeling depressed, hopeless, worthless, or guilty
➡️ anxiety, tension, or feeling ‘on edge’.

If you have symptoms of PMDD that impact your quality of life – including your school, work, social, or family life – it’s important to see your doctor.

You don’t have to suffer in silence. Support is available.

To learn more about PMDD, head to the link in the comments.

Please welcome another of our trainee docs! Dr Mosweu!
Dr Gorata Mosweu is a doctor doing further training in the Barossa region. She lives in our lovely region with her daughter and cat. She has an interest in research. Her passions in medicine are applying a holistic and patient centred approach.
She warns patients that her favourite questions for them are ‘ where are you in your health?’ And ‘ What would you like to see happen?’
She loves culture , food, fashion and her latest obsession outside medicine is new skin products!
Welcome to the TMC team Dr Gorata!

Welcome to Dr Darianne Growden!
Darianne is with TMC as a GP trainee/registrar for a minimum of 6 months.
She was born and raised in the Mid North SA. She then moved to Adelaide to study paramedicine. She jumped ship and completed her Doctor of Medicine at Flinders Uni in 2022 with the intention of returning to the country as a Rural Generalist. She has a keen interest in critical care medicine. When she’s not working you’ll probably find her at the park with her young family or in the garden. Admittedly she knows little about wine so she invites you to educate her!
Welcome Darianne!
